In this vlog we visit the Tracy Arm Fjord and experience being near the Sawyer Glacier with the Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier Explorer excursion that we purchased through the cruise line.
Even though this excursion is a little pricey, it was well worth it! Just seeing the beautiful sights and seeing the glacier just gave such an experience for us.
After doing the excursion and defrosting, we had dinner, watched Getaway Island and ended the night with seeing other ships with us in the Fjord

Details:
Fjord & Glacier Exploration Cruise: Live your Alaskan dreams on this tour of the spectacular Tracy Arm Wilderness Area, including exciting, up-close views of Sawyer Glacier. The exceptional agility of the vessel will allow you to have an in-depth exploration of this amazing fjord, plus close views of the glaciers. Your captain will make many stops, allowing you incredible opportunities to view and photograph icebergs, cliffs, and wildlife!
Notes:
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age - 4 years. Guests must be able to safely negotiate a narrow, moderately steep gangway with only minor assistance to embark and disembark the tour vessel. For safety reasons, guests with mobility difficulties may not participate on this excursion.
What to Bring: Warm layers of clothing, rain jacket, hat, gloves, binoculars, and cash or credit/debit card for purchases.
Good to Know: In the event unpredictable ice conditions preclude entry into Tracy Arm Fjord, the tour will be modified to explore Endicott Arm, a fjord and tidewater glacier of equal beauty. This tour is conducted in a dynamic wilderness area and ice conditions are unpredictable. The vessel’s proximity to the glacier depends on the current ice conditions. Should ice conditions preclude entry or prohibit viewing of any glacier, the tour will be modified to provide wildlife viewing and sightseeing. All timing is approximate and can be amended based on ice conditions. Wildlife sightings are likely, but not guaranteed.

Was the whale excursion booked on Carnival or on your own? Do you remember the name of it?
We did not book it through Carnival, but we did it through the Shipmate app. But the company is called Alaska Galore Tours. They did such an amazing job!
