Only had time to watch half the video before I’m about to leave to go fishing on the Waitaki cos it was eating into my bite time 😊 The Kahawai (spelling wrong) at the Waitaki mouth are a real experience, there’s often so many that you get one every cast
Came home early to watch rest of video and it was worth it! Dunno about eating fish heads 😬 maybe one day. I feel like you two are the perfect fishing couple and both chose the perfect country to live in. Congrats
Yes Kahawai still running I could see a black patch of them as I headed across the islands just above the mouth. Only had a couple of chases and bites 😢 maybe the seal 🦭 swimming around me was spooking them or maybe cos I was only there for an hour and went home early to watch something. I try to stay away from the Kahawai as they can become a nuisance when targeting sea run trout and I just don’t fancy the taste
Looks like a kingy had a go at that kahawai with the mark on it Mark, sandpaper mouth. Watch your video and get me inspired for the next Highway 35 trip and the hard work paid off with the snapper.
Yeah you could be right there, I haven't thought about that. I remember someone telling me, that there are lots of kingies in this area 🤣🤣🤣 Glad we could inspire you. Looking forward to watching more of your adventures down that way.
great video as always! mate I finally started with my channel. I'll give you a shout when I'm over in NZ the next time and we finally have to shoot that video together! Can't wait...one day! Let me know if you are in Perth anytime soon! Beste Grüße 😎
What amazing video. I love watching your video for new ways to go fishing
