Dave, you may never read this, but I wanted to thank you for so many years of great music and childhood memories of just sitting in my room and listening to your songs on my MP3 player when I had a stressful day. Listening to this song brought tears to my eyes, and it reminded me that there are still some good things in life that are worth living for, like listening to your music for instance. Your songs still spark this child-like wonder in me when I listen to them, and it's wonderful experience. Thank you so much for being there for me when times were tough on me.

There is no other band....DMB is incomparable. I listen to oldies...the Beatles. ..Greatful Dead...the most transcendent bands in history, but their prose, musicality, heart does not move me the way DMB does. I met this band one lonely day in South Arkansas, in a dilapidated house, on the outskirts of a small town. I escaped my seemingly insignificant world with a press of a button, on an old Pioneer CD player. Reveling in the fact that I received my package of CD's, opening Dave Matthews Band and pushing play to sweet bliss. I envisioned myself as a musician and singer many moons ago, when I first picked up the clarinet. I was inspired. I will always be enamored by those who make their dreams come true.
As far as pop music goes. i am in total agreement with you. it a whole new set of feeling to enjoy. every bit as ground breaking as the old bands.
Being from Charlottesville, you can see how the city resonates within everything they write. How reflective it is of its source. You should visit if you're that big of a fan.

Mine was the first time I heard "Crash" at UCIrvine's Wayzgoose. A guy named Wang got up with his guitar and played the first Dave Matthew's song I'd ever heard. As his buddies screamed "I love the Wang" and teased him I fell in love with Dave's music.
I attended Dave Matthews live in Sydney back in the day.. Beautiful performance, authentic vocals. Real music.

This song reminds me of a girl I lived with for many years, and then something happened and a love that I thought would never end, was abruptly cut off.
