I checked their FAQs and it said this: “If you upgrade to Uppbeat Premium, you can whitelist your RUclips channel and ensure that copyright claims are automatically cleared for content published on your channel while you’re subscribed. If you end your subscription, you don’t need to worry about your content as claims won’t reappear on videos that were published while your channel was whitelisted.”
What you should mention in the video: you can use a "downloaded" track in just *one* video. You need to "download" the track again when you use it in a second video. So the term "download" used by Uppbeat is quite misleading - it is more like "get licence code"...
That is incorrect. You can use a track in multiple videos without having to re-download the track. Also, if you have the free account, the credit that you need to add to the description of the video is the same whether you download the track again or not.
I guess re-downloading the track for a second usage means the artist gets credit twice for a track that is used twice and would likely affect their earnings. So in that sense it’s fair to the artist but the license code is the same.
I’ve had no copyright issues. They explain how it all works on their website. Essentially you can whitelist your channel if you have a premium account for automatic clearance, and if you have a free account, you just need to copy an attribution link in the description.
My guess is that the sound effects don't require any sort of copyright link because you could have loads of them in one edit, whereas you're likely to have a lot less music tracks in your edit. But if you have a paid account and you whitelist the channel, you don't need to paste the copyright links into your descriptions.
Thank you , not aware of this option. Do you know when they will have SFX available ? and, more difficult, how would you compare the music quality with Epidemic or Artlist ?
I’m not entirely sure when the SFX will be available but they say soon so that’s exciting! 😊 The music quality is just as good as Epidemic or Artlist. all of the tracks are professionally produced 👌🏼 They don’t have track separates like Epidemic but you can get premium for life at the same price as Artlist for a year. Hope that helps 😊🤙🏼
@@Brad_West thank you so much Brad! I love watching your videos and always super formative. I’ve learn so much from watching your videos and it’s has help me as a content creator. Thank you!
Hey Nik. Yeah you can, as long as you include the copyright info in the description for the free account or as long as you whitelist your channel if you have the premium subscription 😄
Thanks Brad. Question about music if I may. I set my dialogue audio in my videos to between -3-5db. I typically drop background music to around -27, and I never know if that’s correct. Is there a set industry gap between dialogue and background music?
I wouldn’t say there is an industry standard since each video is different, but there are some guidelines. You are pretty much on the money! 😊 I set my dialog to peak at -6dB and depending on how loud I want the music, I have it anywhere from -24dB to -30dB. Some music also cuts through the mix more so they will feel louder than others. Use your ear and best judgement to determine if it’s too loud or not. Another trick is to play your edit back on your computer speakers (not headphones) and turn the volume way down, just enough that you can hear what you’re saying and if the music is fighting with your voice at that level, it’s too loud. Hope that helps 😊🤞🏼
Hey Andrea! No you don't need to put any credits in the description with the premium subscription. You just need to whitelist your channel and then all the claims are taken care of automatically for each video. No need to do anything else 😄
Would i be able to monetize my channel/videos if i use uppbeats free music in my videos, will there be any copyright claim in future? 1 more thing if my video is like 15 minutes and the music is 3 minutes long can i use the same music like 4-5 times in the same video till the end of the video, hoping for your reply.
Now it's only 3 free downloads per month and if you do a video that is more than 6 minutes, it's not enough. But great if you need only a few pieces. At least the subscription is not that expensive.
Sama sama! Semoga membantu!
Whitelisting my channel works perfectly. It’s most certainly not a scam. Have you contacted Uppbeat support? There’s clearly something wrong if you’re having issues.

If I sign up for premium, white list my channel, and then cancel, will I have to go back and credit the videos I already made?

is there any copy right claims i should know about?

@@Brad_West cool and thanks for the video i really needed some good music for my videos and this really help thank you!

Thank you for this . great help 😊

Hi - I'm paying for my uppbeat acct and am using Sound Effects. How come the pop-up for copyright doesn't pop up there?
My guess is that the sound effects don't require any sort of copyright link because you could have loads of them in one edit, whereas you're likely to have a lot less music tracks in your edit. But if you have a paid account and you whitelist the channel, you don't need to paste the copyright links into your descriptions.
Rock and metal of course! :) 🤟🏻👍🏻
Ah yes! A man after my own heart 🤘🏼😆🤘🏼

Thank you for sharing this… let me go and signup
You’re welcome! The music is fantastic. Enjoy! 😊🙌🏼
What if I decide to cancel my premium subscriptions later on, will all the music I have in my past videos on youtube be flag or no longer monetize?
No they will always be monetized, you just can’t use that music on new videos after cancelling the subscription 😄👍🏼
@@Brad_West thank you so much Brad! I love watching your videos and always super formative. I’ve learn so much from watching your videos and it’s has help me as a content creator. Thank you!
Thanks so much for saying that, much appreciated! 😄🙏🏼
@brad and donna Can this also be used for livestreams?
Hey Nik. Yeah you can, as long as you include the copyright info in the description for the free account or as long as you whitelist your channel if you have the premium subscription 😄
@@Brad_West thank you for the fast response 👏
You’re welcome 😊🤙🏼
OMG, how good is this
It’s such a great resource for creators! 😊🙌🏼
Very good information !!! Thanks !!
You’re welcome 😊👍🏼
you can use multiple songs from uppbeat in the same video right?
Absolutely! I do that all the time.
great information share thanks
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching 😊🙌🏼
I don't see my downloads on my computer after i download them !
They would probably go directly to your downloads folder no?
My pop-up blocker was set too high, not allowing them to download. However i altered the setting...Thanks!@@Brad_West
Problem is I was editing on an app but in my music no songs that I downloaded were there.
What app are you using?
Love how the upbeat website already has my name on it. 😂
They made it just for you! 😂👌🏼

Yeah you won’t have copyright claims with the free music. And looping it is totally fine as well 😄👌🏼
@@Brad_West Thanks man

Ah so it's changed since making this video. You're right, still a super affordable option! Thanks for watching! 😄🙏🏼
Will I get copyright issues if I use musics for free without subscription?
Yes, you need to have a subscription to copy and paste the correct music credit in the description of your video.
But then do you get ads on your channel after using this free music? Like does the royalty of ur channel go to them like copywrited music?
No not at all. You can still monetize videos using those songs and you keep the ad revenue earned. 😄👍🏼

THIS IS A SCAM! Upbbeat premium does not clear copyright claims! Whitelisting your channel does not works and is a waste of time.
Whitelisting my channel works perfectly. It’s most certainly not a scam. Have you contacted Uppbeat support? There’s clearly something wrong if you’re having issues.
Nothing for a Phillip Bloom style video? Just...pardon me...trashy rock?!?
High quality?!?!? Not high class, for sure.
What do you mean just trashy rock? There are plenty of other genres 🤔
