Mine was for mothers day also but just came today.. I've made 3 so far and mine do NOT turn out like this 😅 hoping I get better at it soon! But man, the crunchy pieces that ended up on the sides were very tasty😂

Starting to make them really pretty now, I just got to no when to stop, I find I try to keep making them larger but then they dont turn out quiet as nice. Love it still! Omg I had no idea I had to hold the stick horizontally, I was vertically spinning it around inside the machine and ending up with a lump that falls off🤣🤣🤣🤣 definitely helpful and going to try it this way the next time I get the machine out!👏🏽👏🏽

I got my wife this same cotton candy machine it seems to burn the sugar instead? Is their a type of different cotton candy sugar to use with this machine? Because we tried 3-4 different times and each time the cotton candy would melt in the machine almost immediately?
You have to let it warm up about 5 minutes for hard candy, and 10 for sugar. I usually use 2 Jolly Rancher’s hard candy and/or regular (granulated) sugar. I combine 1 Jolly Rancher with a tsp of sugar and it makes it fluffier and still tastes fruity.

Ever been to a funfair? I'm sure they make it there and bag it, not all fairs but most to avoid waste, fresh candy floss less harsh on the teeth.

Have you ever tried point the stick more downwards to collect the floss?
They are alot of work for little cotton candy. The little suction cups on the bottom dont work very well at keeping it put so your pretty much always chasing it around the counters.

I accidentally set my cotton candy machine on fire once
If you really want homemade cotton candy, get a professional machine. I got one of these smaller ones and donated it after two uses. I watched a dozen tutorials. It hardens most of the sugar and hardly makes anything.
I just ordered mine so thats why I am watching how to make cotton candy😋

Yes, Jolly Ranchers or other hard candies work well. Creamy ones won’t work.

It is totally rubbish... When u switch it on, wthin one minute it's plastic fan get melted & then whole machine body becomes a heap of plastic... This my own experience... NEVER BUY THIS MACHINE.

how do i clean it- it gets so messy and the parts get rusty
You can take off the heating tray once it’s has been unplugged for a while or before using and you can wash it that way.
I soak it in hot water on a bowl it cleans it good
