I have hearing impaired and I would hiring someone who is ASL translator for the gameshow. I actually been to Price is Right Live at Soaring Eagle Casino it was a blast. Very similar to this one.
What I love from TPIR is, this show has a lot of history, allowing contestants especially people with disabilities or reduced mobility to play and getting the same chance to win. ;D
Looking at this from her perspective, she didn't get to hear anyone cheer for her. But knowing that everyone was celebrating for her had to be a feeling she will never forget
@@RainbowManification Very true. She knew that the crowd was cheering for her While they can't hear with their ears, they can hear with their feet so to speak which everyone can however hearing impaired people are more sentivie to sound them most. American Gladiators had a Gladiator named Siren who was deaf herself and she would teach the crowd to wave their hands and stomp their feet to let her know they are cheering for her.
What a really nice episode God bless the contestant and the translator and everybody at the show it would’ve been nice to see her win but seeing her up there was the greatest gift ever I hope she remembers that I’m so glad everyone was nice to her I wish her nothing but the best in life and everything good in the future and maybe one day she’ll come back and win absolutely love this episode thanks for posting it

@@VioletJoy She probably didn't hear the previous bid with being deaf and all. But in all seriousness the guy that just got screwed will be last to bid next game and it kinda evens out.
Deaf people always have the best facial expressions. It always makes them seem so much more outgoing and likable. Sad she didn’t win but it looks like she had a blast playing
I've known many deaf and hearing-impaired people and you're right. For the deaf, facial expressions are a huge part of communication. They use facial expressions to convey what hearing people convey through vocal inflection.
Would love to see people w/challenges. Even though all won't win, that's cool since no one wants to be treated any different. If you win you know it was due to skill. 🇺🇸
This is one of the handful of instances that i've seen of a deaf/hearing impaired contestant being on the show over the years, quite a rarity because i definitely recall seeing much more that are mobily disabled (wheelchair.erc) both when Bob was still hosting and through Drew's time up to now.
I give interpreters alot of respect, whether it is for translation or for the deaf. They have a very important job to do as they not only have to translate exactly what is said and in a quick manner, but do it correctly. Otherwise, it'll ruin the flow of the conversation and create delays.
I know deaf contestant Marsha Goeken from South Dakota play The game is right. I remember Eddie Buck (Edward Buck) play The price is right on May 20, 2013.
Yep cause remember at the END of The DAY we are all Humans no matter what as some of us aren't born that Way but cause of Freak Accidents n other Circumstances we might end up like that. As I myself wasn't born w/ but like 1-5 things wrong and life more so added on them Disabilities that they are called but I don't see them see that way. As remember to always treat others like you wanted to be Treated as you yourself or some1 you hold close might be given something like that!
Does anyone else notice that Drew hardly looks at the actual contestant? He is speaking and looking directly at the interpreter the almost entire time. How freaking frustrating!
@trista1986 um... he's holding a microphone why wouldn't she be able to hear him? Clearly you don't know much about the deaf culture because it is extremely rude to talk to the interpreter and not the person who you are conversing with. That's like him talking to a Spanish translator instead of the Spanish speaker. He isn't having a conversation with the interpreter so he shouldn't be looking at them.
Video about a deaf contestant - doesn't have subtitles... Not even auto generated ones which I don't even get... Why can't all videos have auto generated subtitles?...
The best turnout on the game is to get no numbers right the first time. Then you know you've won after the change, and you don't have to wait through the added suspense.
I at least want half of my dream to come true, to be the first blind contestant on price. My full dream, was to be the first blind contestant on price, during Bob's run, that way, he could make it official, and declair it as a "historic moment," and when I would've told him that I watched him for over 15 years of my life, he'd reply, "you are a loyal friend in true!" I'd certainly wanna play a game for a cash prize, not a car, but if it had to be, I'd sell it, if I won. I gotta be lucky, and do it on a show Bob does another guest appearance, should he do one, but I'd be happy either way to get on the show! after all, my mom was on the show aired 11/10/1998, and I'm still looking for that show!
Tyrone I really hope you get that show, and I gotta let you know, when you said you would tell bob barker "I've been watching your show..." I would imagine he'd say, "how can you watch my show, when you can't see anything" *price is right theme plays as they go to commercial
Haven't watched this in years. Did they change the rules of this game? Before they used to allow the contestant to ask again if they had X numbers right after making changes and getting at least one more number right, before revealing the correct numbers when it's down to one number remaining.
