    Love the Video Brother... You are so right, I am seeing stuff like that but have not caught a fish yet. (No Confidence yet) Two trips without catching any fish, growing pains I am hoping... I am on Henderson Lake in Louisiana which is a natural lake, that does have a small dam that the city will let water in and out. So the water is always on the move, and the bottom of the lake is very subtle. I am charting it right now and searching the last two Saturdays. I found a spot just like you showed with tones of fish on the chirp but like yours doesn't not show a lot on the clear view. I am so glad to see that you said that there was still fish right there. Mine looked just like that. I have been a bank beater all my life so this has growing pains, I know it will pay off. I am saving for a Motorguide Ultrex to match up with the garmin.

      I hear ya Terry! It’s hard to get away from the bank. Suspended fish (dots on the clear view) are tough. I think that’s why offshore ledges are my favorite structure to target. Like beating the bank offshore😂. I’ve been known to drop a 1/4 oz jig head with a gulp minnow down just to see what’s down there. Generally I’ve found catchable bass offshore are close to deeper water near feeding areas but not all lakes are the same. They like to come shallow to feed then slide down in deeper water nearby around here. Good luck!! Thanks for the comment and staying in touch.

    How come you can not identify fish from the down scan and side scans?but only the 2D traditional sonar

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  3 года назад

      You can see individual fish on clear vu as dots they are just not as easy, traditional sometimes makes objects look like fish so I used both side by side to help train my eyes. With that said the large screens you can see them much better. The difference between clear vu and traditional is in the cone angle, that’s why you don’t see arch’s on clear and side vu. The clear image technologies act more like a copy machine with a very narrow angle. I have a video on sonar frequency explained that breaks it down. Thanks for the comment, have a great day!!!

    I have echo map 93sv plus and my dad is out on the water with it and is using it in tradition sonar , once he get his setting in it goes fit a few sec then go into zoom and also says then just goes blue with a bunch of lines any help , is it a bad transducer

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  Год назад

      Possibly but that sounds more like an internal problem. Call Garmin support 800 800 1020 and use the callback feature if needed they always call back within 30-45 minutes, they are very good at diagnosing problems

    • @DoubleTFishing

      I did run ito a problem once were a + button got stuck. Check the buttons and go into the traditional menu screen and turn off all the zoom functions except magnify, turn off bottom lock and edge if needed

    My Garmin 93SV UHD side vu keeps zooming in as if it's on auto. Auto is turned off. I also manually set my side vu range. For some reason it still auto zooms my image while scanning. Any recommendations?

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  3 года назад +1

      The zoom is a little confusing in side vu. If you set it to “manual” on the zoom screen it still wants to zoom. Touch the arrows on the left side of the manual button and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
      I have absolutely nothing turned on in my zoom menu for side vu (no green bars on the right side of the menu buttons).
      I think if you manual selected it just lets you control the zoom but it’s in zoom all the time, just turn it off for normal viewing, thanks for the comment, have a great day!!!

    Hi I purchased a 93sv uhd with gt56 transducer and have tried every setting I can and my images are nowhere near as clear as what you are getting. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

      YES😂 I left a link below, check this video out, you can also use a torpedo level and some coins if you don’t want to use the phone app. Make sure and try it on a table or something so your comfortable before you go out on the water. Have a great day!!!

      Check out this video on voltage drop also, lack of power is a common problem as well. Look at your voltage on the screen with clear and or side vu running, should be above 12.5v. Let me know if need help with it, thanks for the comment!!!

      Sorry there is another problem the MG Marine Tech channel discover. If you are running split screen clear and side vu don’t run them both on the same frequency, personally I would lower the side vu frequency and keep the clear vu on the higher frequency.
      Depending on depth and range the higher frequencies are pretty limited. Don’t want to sound like a used car salesman but take a look at this video also🤣🤣

    Great vídeo, Im considering to buy a garmin echomap 72 SV UHD, it comes with the GT56UHD but Im wondering if i can get clear images on the screen at 130ft. Cuz i fish offshore/salt water but not more than That deep. Does anyone have any idea if it would do the job ?

    • @DoubleTFishing
      @DoubleTFishing  3 года назад +1

      The GT56 is more powerful than GT54 so it might. If you haven’t already check out the “MG marine Tech” channel he does good videos on the GT 56 transducer, thanks for the kind words and comment, have a great day!!!

      MG marine tech just dropped a video on the GT56 for side vu and as withe the GT 54 I use it appears to have serious depth limitations at the higher frequencies. Not sure it will work well for you at 130’ depth unless you can lower the frequency like I do and give up some image quality. I’d watch the video. To be honest side vu on a 7” screen is pretty hard to see good detail. The down vu would be helpful. Hope you got to get on the water this weekend!!!!
