Trip to Vinalhaven Maine on Fishing Vessel Smokin Bull

A bit different than normal but I was invited aboard the Smokin Bull to get bait and fuel on Vinalhaven, about 9 miles from Rockland. I'm taking every opportunity to hang out with friends, and this was a fun afternoon!

What a great day you had! That movie/book came nowhere close to capturing the aura and reality of the men and their boats that go to the sea for lobster. Man, 800 HP, that boat was fly in’. You are blessed, Jerome, to live in the midst of it all. Watching the weather, and it is rugged Northeast and Atlantic fare.

He doesn't haul around Vinalhaven. Those waters are for island men. But they will sell you bait. Ask me how i know
