This looks great!!! How did you find the Flexible Combat System? I'm interested in buying it myself but it's a rather large investment. Did you find it easy to work with and modify? any bugs etc?
Hey thanks! I like it, but I think it was a lot more stable before the recent update. I know the dev (Beard) will get it all polished up as it was before, but it's still buggy for now. I think it's worth the money and one of the easier platforms I work with.
Man, you have some amazing skills using these assets. How do you like FCS compared to EasyRPG? I see you've done so work with that one as well. I've also been playing around with The latest version of Modern RPG but I don't see many people using that one yet.
Thank you! So, IMO EasyRPG is superior to FCS in most every way. The only drawback is that the character is not based on the UE skeleton. I use ALCv2 for the locomotion though which takes care of that. FCS is still a good product, especially if your game is a fantasy RPG. I have a few of these systems and I use them each for a different reason. But if I had to pick only one it would be Easy RPG as it's the most feature complete and the most polished.
@@DavidNGoodman I agree, FCS says it has more features, but I dont really like the combat, looks very MMO/JRPG like, I prefer souls like combat and I am in the market looking for such, you seem to have experimented with quite a few combat frameworks so I wanted to ask you which you think would be best for a souls like game. The closest i could see whose combat looked like a souls game was Tempest Combat Framework, after that we have FCS and GBWPH and HCF, eventually followed by ACF (costly but on 20% sale right now this Feb) As someone who has worked with some of the frameworks above, which one you think would be best for a souls like game? Any thoughts on Tempest CF?
@@ParikshitBhujbal I have looked at Tempest, but I don't know much about it. I've heard good and not as good things about it, but I think it's a solid platform for combat of the type with little bloat. I don't know if it will work for your purpose, but check out Combat Fury - it looks great in the videos and I'm hearing good things. I'm actually working in a new FCS project right now (just taking a break) and though there are things I don't like about it, it is good for Fantasy RPG and I think I can improve it visually.

@@DavidNGoodman Awesome insight on the various combat / RPG systems, I would love to see a comparison video of these systems on your channel :)
@@hiexis Oh wow that would be a cool (and LONG) video huh? Hmm...
