Great video!

great video
Thank you for watching. - Capt Mike
gogo!
awesome vid. im on the delaware bay any tips for up north? and where i can get chum/bait cheap?
Just drove past Hillsboro inlet and south boca nice calm flat ocean
Wish I was out! - Capt Mike
My only subscription on you tube is watching capt. Mike and Carlos great work guys serious, would love to deep drop with you guys I got a tannacom 1000 ready for any weekend and daydreams of a swordfish all the time
Mike. What Chaos rod model are you referring to at 54 minutes? You say it’s 8’ graphite. To me that means it’s not a composite graphite/glass blend but wanted to see if you would clarify.
Thanks for the video nice job. Where can we find the info for the bulk chum. Can't find any up in the big bend region
Did you ask your local tackle shops if they can special order 25 lb slabs of chum? - Capt Mike
Great info Capt Mike...once again a warm hello from venezuela. I was wondering if you could post a link for the FG knot. I noticed there are a couple of different ways of doing it. Which one do you recommend.
Sure, Ill work on that. Capt Mike
Awesome technical seminar for reef fishing tactics ! Question...on your 8ft "cobia" rod, are you fishing a swivel below the bobber ?
Whoops I just re-watched the video and you actually answered the question. Why the swivel then because I know you are not a fan of terminal tackle ?
That show was eight years ago. With advancements in terminal tackle and techniques, if I did that same show today I'm sure my rigging techniques would be different. - Capt Mike
Just to clarify. You would still drop a sabiki if you are fishing in over 100ft of water?
That "redfish" rod is nearly my setup
BG3500, 20Lb braid
Cool! Please follow me @FloridaSportFishingTV
is there a link to this diamond braid that your mentioning? great seminar.

I really enjoy your seminars, looking forward to tweaking your info and making it work for the Mid-Atlantic region. But to say ships are anchoring in the coral and destroying it is asinine. Have you looked on charts? The bottom is a sand-mud mix and the Anchorage is very small. No, we're not destroying the coral.
Great video guys. You will help families have some great memories with this wisdom. God bless and thank you. Any recommendations for those 25lb blocks of chum?
Hey mike earlier in the month I was asking you what type of line to put on my 9 spinner reels, and you helped me out a lot regarding that. You mentioned adding topshot on some reels.
How much topshot do you recommend on them?
On spinners, 25 ft. is fine. - Capt Mike
sorry but i want to know what is topshot in the reels.thanks capt mike
Mike, Thanks for all the valuable info. I always enjoy your seminars. I did have a question. I have watched this video several times and I seem to be missing some info. When talking about the sliding sinker rig... you mention 30 lb. braid with a 50 lb. mono top shot and 20 lb. sliding sinker to a swivel but you never mention about the leader after the swivel. Is it just a continuation of the 50 lb. mono top shot? Is it 50 lb. fluorocarbon leader or some other test leader? Also, how many feet of that leader? Also, how long of a top shot do you normally use? Thanks much.
He mentioned the leader is 12-15 feet( I assume fluorocarbon) but he did not mention the test strength of leader....... Following
What float was that for the Cobia? Trying to find it and can’t seem to find any that look like it
At what time in the video are you referring to? - Capt Mike
Florida Sport Fishing 47:20. Figured any float will work but I liked the shape of that one
In my area a fish called Samson fish (amberjack relative) are too prolific, aggressive to catch anything else on wrecks any way to get around it?
Lachlan O'Neil try using live blue crabs. Amberjack won’t touch them, Grouper will destroy them.
Raleigh Thomas great response , weirdly enough I caught one on the way in last trip and it’s in my freezer.
Raleigh Thomas also weird that we have the same crabs even tho I’m soo far away
first watch!
Nice! - Capt Mike
Hi Capt Mike,
Could I get a mailing address to send you a book. I mention you in it. Thanks very much for your lessons.
Misa misa en misamjsa
how big was the daiwa BG conventional
Daiwa BG 50H. - Capt Mike
why never send down a juvenile yellow tail???
Raul Reyes it's illegal
I figured he meant at least a 12 incher. Wondered if there was a different reason. To me that is still a juvenile. When yellowtailing anything less than 17" I throw back, even if I'm coming back with only 4 of them. Thanks for the reply.
Cause big black groupers hate them 😉
Lol I don’t mind a cooler full of trigger fish
They are good eatin' just a pain to fillet. - Capt Mike
Sharp knife under the pectoral fin, trace around the fish from the inside of the skin out, peel off skin like a Mahi.
Delicious....yum yum
I'll take a mutton instead.
Can you give a girl a few good numbers off of Marathon and Big Pine Key. Reef and patch reef please and thank you. Much appreciated
FWC website provides public reef and wreck numbers. myfwc.com/fishing/saltwater/artificial-reefs/
and zero mention of the toughest wild wild west of fishing....N.E. Florida! Non-cosmopolitan fishing.
Capt Daves Sportfishing Charters explain please yourself
