How to replace a wheel bearing on a Yamaha ATV four wheeler

  • Today Metal in Motion Shop shows how he replaces the front wheel hub bearings and seals specifically in a 2003 Yamaha Kodiak 450. These bearings where rusted and seized so bad you couldn’t hardly push the machine. This is my method and it's not the only way to do it. I admit that most people don't have a welder, but this was my only option for finishing the job at that time. Again it's another method you can store in your memory bank for future jobs.

    If you’re going to use an older outer bearing race to put the new bearing in, simply grind the outer edge a few thousands of an inch. Works very well. Also works well to put the seals in.
