The best drop you guys hand down this week was the Day of the Dead Gastley. Had to get it with the pin. Great piece but like the song has been saying I wish November 1st wasn’t so close to NYCC. The megapix and pixs are still a don’t need for me because none of the licenses they’ve brought are something I collect. They are also BIG. So they are asking Funko collectors (mostly) that are trying to figure out where they have room for a 4” box to start shelving large pix items. I thought the same thing for the project Fred and Chan items. Bigger right now is not better in the collector world.

Ever seen Superplastic, their figures are the same size, have removable items, designed by different artists, have a low piece count (under 1000) no magnets but they are $80-$110. The Thrilljoy price seemed already high and now its worse. But you get free shipping if you spend $275. Do a test ask people who haven't seen that mega pix who he is dressed as, I bet Freddy Krugar won't even get 1/2 your answers. Freddy has a knife hand, that's his trademark, this figure is missing that, plus his shirt isn't striped, like Freddy. I know its supposed to be from part 2 or something but still... he looks like a smiling dock worker not Freddy Krugar. Either way you like it and that's all that matters.
We don't think he's supposed to look like Freddy, he is just inspired by Freddy. As a huuuuge Nightmare on Elmstreet fan, I love him! He does have the knife hand.... although I am curious about the TWO hands with knives. But again, I think he is likely inspired by Freddy rather than supposed to look exactly like him.

I agree the price is still a great deal at 175 the project Freddy Funko figures they were selling with the shitty logos of companies was 200 + did nothing and had no accessories. So 175 is fine

That’s when I change my mind because I already planned to spend up to 175 for taxes and shipping and then I have to add $50 more🤬! They should have announced the change with more time. I still debating on the Pix. Maybe I would consider a Mega but have to be a most have character! I pay the $175 .
Supposably it was only pre-orders up and there will be more listed once they are in-hand. Ship date appears to be December. -edit: you guys likely received an artist proof!

They built fake hype for the whole line and everything sat. Why stop at $175, lets make it $250? $350! Don't forget shipping :)
6) I had queue issues at first during launch. Took about 15 min + after alleged start to enter queue and then had errors. Had to close out and re-enter but did not have issues afterward. Got in and secured purchase with no issues.

There were 800+ sitting on the website and 45 mins later they were all gone. They were pulled no way it sold out. So I got lucky & was able to purchase everything you dropped this week. Imo they would receive such negative backlash on a fake sell out & doesn’t make sense to fake out and sit on X amount of product. I believe they sold out. I think 500-1000 ppl like it enough that it sold out. 3) my work experience helps me understand business better then the average person so I understand the price hike (yes it sucks to be told 1 thing and then another) but I get costs of goods change. I still think (especially after seeing it in your video) that the $175 is still a fair price. 4) ppl really need to stop comparing this to funko. I know it’s hard but it’s an entirely different company. Different products. Different target audience. Thrilljoy is speed running itself into this industry. If they were a small company not trying to completely change collecting (their words) I will give them the benefit of the doubt. But these are seasoned pros trying to do a very ambitious launch. This is either a big mistake or purposefully misleading. Either way bad.
And don't forget, and not to get political here, but even though some news sources trying to convince us that the economy is getting better, that's not true for everyone and to be able to invest in an item like this one is a big chunk of change for several people who may want it but have no means of affording it.

However, Brian said he likes that we speak our minds and wants too see our thoughts in future videos. We do not sell out to anyone. In fact, we're not paid by Brian or thrilljoy so we have no reason to "sell out" if we're not even being bought 🤣 Frankly, these megas are better than any of the large products that funko has to offer. It can move its arms and head, there are accessories, and more as we mentioned in the video. We actually like this product versus the funko products that have been pushed recently like project fred. The price hike makes sense to us. It seemed that they would lose money with the former price which is why we were confused to begin with. In fact, in this video we didn't even mention the high quality box which costs an arm and a leg to make. How do we know? We make boxes for our products and they are incredibly expensive. Especially when it comes to glossy boxes with magnets. Bottom line, we love the megas and from a business standpoint, we understand why a price hike has to occur. However, we also understand that the fanbase is left upset and frustrated.
