I agree the coolers have... cooled off. I think it's just due to the Chase roulette game you're forced to play if you want to complete the set. An issue I see with Funko releases is timing. Recent Stranger Things drops, like the NFT launch and cooler, would have made more sense alongside a new season instead of during a break. This is just one example. Funko could also use more clearly defined limited edition counts, as seen with the Funko Fusion items at NYCC. It does seem they’re addressing timing with the introduction of these new preorders that align better with current, sports and entertainment events.

I don't think they will be like Beanie Babies. Beanies were generic animals and pretty short lived with their popularity. The problem with pops is everyone has 2000 of them and no room. I started selling mine off and I hear this, but I also get younger people buying them up, so it isn't totally dead. But the values are definitely dropping a bit.
The shop isn't selling out anymore because people cried about them selling out too fast, then they made more so the flippers stopped buying them so now they are swamped with the extras. Also they keep making the same licenses over and over. They just remake retired ones so they aren't special anymore. I use the Thrawn pop as an example a lot, basically took a grail and made like 2-3 additional ones more recently so the original isn't as special.
I'd rather see the pops in Marshall's than the landfill like the were doing

Not really, to me they are easier to sell than Beanie Babies. Beanie Babies were extremely niche since they mostly appealed to people who just liked stuffed animals and that was it. Pops are easily to sell to people due to their pop culture connections, the fact many can be quite rare, they are relatively easy to store and in some cases have quite a lot of resale value. Obviously you shouldn't invest all your money in them, but no, they are not like Beanie Babies.

The whole story about beanies is interesting!! Last time I heard they are still being made. But I had poop job at goodwill and people would dump beanies every week. They make us throw them in the trash because they didn't have any value. Kinda like good China was thrown away. 😂😂😂😂

My family thinks there going to be like Beanie Babies and Collectible Plates. There not going to be worth anything. I’m saying that they have so many different characters and some of them are worth $60-$100. I don’t think they will be like them. Also I saw the diecast Indiana Jones Funko Shop Exclusive at Marshall’s. There $19.99

Im seeing nycc pops on shelves at my local hot topic and target as of today. I picked up the coraline for my daughters. They had one piece and a dragon ball z pop from nycc also on the shelves.
