Fans & Bono Help Person in Medical Distress - U2 at Sphere: All I Want Is You/Walk On The Wild Side

- Wed Jan 31, 2024 - A fan passed out to the left of the stage. There was some confusion about the person’s condition at first including with Bono from the 3:30 to 5:30 mark. He handled the situation very well. It appeared the person was okay. The show must go on….and it did. There were a lot of “Dudes” on the floor with cameras including me. I suspect it’s annoying to some others but the new phone technology makes it so easy to film a high quality video to better remember the moment.

I was at that show but in Section 403. It was a bit like Live Aid redux. It got a little tense for a minute or so, especially for those of us who couldn’t really tell what was going on. Bono has always kept a watchful eye out for the audience at U2’s shows. Just the kind of human being he is.
Unforgettable Fire Tour, South Florida. He stopped the concert because a fight broke out near the front. "Nobody fights at a U2 concert!"
In the 90s I ran into Bono and Flea doing a hello to fans and a young girl handed Flea a rose and Bono and Flea took the mother and young daughter to the pan Pacific for tea pretty cool
The best band in the world❤❤
FYI All of us on the floor close to the situation all helped draw his attention to the circumstance
Then he used his microphone
Very good point. I made the correction. Thanks.
Only U2 can help someone in distress without missing a beat LITERALLY and then return perfectly to the song like it was all planned
I attended 7 Sphere shows all on the floor and at two of them there were medical emergencies. One towards the back of the floor in the center and one between Bono and Adam about 10 people from the stage. The one in the back of the GA section was more serious and security had to get a wheelchair to get the guy out. I thought he was dead. (Found out later he wasn't....phew!) The one closer to the front people were yelling at Bono and security for help. Bono didn't see either incident and therefore didn't stop the show, but I know that if he had seen either that he would have stopped the show in order to get assistance to the person. Too bad Travis Scott and his crew couldn't have done the same. Some of those people may be alive today if they had just stopped the show when fans asked for help.
How was floor experience? Do you think it made it hard to get full sphere effect?
@@alexanderstrong357 Honestly, I have spoken with many friends who saw U2 both on the floor and in the seats in virtually every section and we all agree that it seems the show was designed and optimized for people on the floor. The only thing you don't get by being on the floor, to us, is the 4D effect as the chairs have side speakers in them. The people I know said that was more annoying than anything though. They also didn't have the 4D effects working until U2 started back up in 2024.
Bono had genuine empathy for the fan, a real human ❤
3 times NYC my best band ever.
💚💜💛
Far too many people filming a medical situation.
Bono 🎉❤
I started to expect a prayer for healing: "Come to the front and receive your healing Amen!"
Amen,
come to Uncle Bono, come to Uncle Bono. Come now..
Yeah I never thought classic U2 would stay in Vegas show after show. Still think they’re one of the best.
I just hope they never do the Thanksgiving parade.
U2 the best band in the world. I love U2 forever
I was there on Adam's side of floor...
Is that Bryan getting into the GA to help at 4:00?
Do you mean Bryan Eno? It’s not him obviously.
I think that it was Brian who jumped in. It looked like his profile and he would have been at the front there already in front of Bono. I suspect that if Bono is asking for someone to help and Brian knew that Bono himself was already safe that he would jump in to assist.
@@sensitivity7207Bono’s Long time Body guard not the producer.
Either you are human or you are not. Top!

Was it a fight or someone was sick and had to go out and people would not move out of way?
There is no fighting at U2 shows. It’s against the rules. Unfortunately, it gets a bit warm in the pit so I suspect the person fainted. If you’re not rested, fed and hydrated it could happen. We had an afternoon bite to eat and nap. It helped. I believe the person in the way did not realize they were in the way until Bono pointed it out.
"It's against the rules" doesn't stop anybody if they want to fight. It can happen anyway.
@@Crisis.Knight He was just defending the u2 audience is think which is a GREAT audience of course! :D
3:50 Is the incident
Como e que fica essa situação com esse projeto lagartixa no meu predio com familia de lagarto
Oq?
its great bono did this for a fan but how fcken sad is the band (aka) edge kept playing as this was going on?wtf!!!what a terrible person to keep playing when someone in the audience is having problems!!!
In Bono's mind, he thought a fight broke out for a second when he yelled "Dude".
No he just doesn’t stand people spending the whole show on their phone rather than enjoying the actual concert.
No, there was clearly a guy who wasn't paying attention to what Bono asked of the audience at that moment, in order to help the fan.
No. He literally called out the guy with the camera to move. After asking people to clear a pathway for medical aid to get there
i wonder if they ve had the jab
The general problem is the performers don't want to end their careers when the time is right. I liked them when they were young, now they are old and still want to prove something but it is sad to see this picture watch and listen to them anymore. Bono, old grandfather, pathetic.
Slowest security in the history of security
