I actually unpacked the Flame Leviathan, and i was kinda insecure wether to keep it or not, so I gave it a go, and at the end of the same round I actually had lethal, but I only had 2 health left, so as soon as it was my turn, I drew the fucking thing of course. first thing I did after was to disenchant it.
Yeah seriously, i might have to unsub. I disenchanted almost all my cards for this.

Last Arena Run I played against a Mage that was "fortunate" enough to craft this card ... Now, he had a Yeti, a Stormwind Champion and a Shrinkmeister on board (from Shredder) and I had a Molten Giant ... I was at 7 HP and and after I consistently brought him down turn by turn he was now at 2 HP ... And you know it, his Flame Leviathan won me the game... Literally RNGesus took a shit on him

The last game was 100% setup for Flame leviathan. Instead of healing the Deathlords, Krips priest mate intentionally flooded the board with 2 health minions, whilst keeping the Deathlords on low hp. It was perfectly set up for the Leviathan draw.
Actually when I think about it, this entire video doesn't show anything relevant whatsoever. its really just a complete wast of everyone's time.
Well if you watched the stream you will see that it wasn't set up.

***** Very few pro league players makes a lot of money and even the top players/streamers will never make as much money as some people with a good college degree. On top of that the lifetime of a pro player in league from what I've seen this far is around 3 years most of the pros from season 1 retired by now and there is very few left. In the long run you can't even compare it to a college degree.

***** The ad revenue is only high if you have enough viewers such as Bjergsen who hits 30k everytime he streams then you also have to think about all the ad blocks that people are running which decreases the total profit that they make. The tournaments payouts are also only high if you actually win the tournaments or at least you should be in the top 3 bracket. Players that are in the middle-lower bracket don't earn as much. Which proves my point that only FEW pro players earn a lot of money such as Bjergsen who I have already mentioned or Regi who is owner of the TSM team. On the other hand people like maplestreet (oddones) brother, are not as successful. For instance I came across his stream yesterday and he had something like 200 viewers, now he obviously does get sponsored and that's probably where most of his money is coming from, which indeed might be a lot for some kid who just like to play league, but how does that compare to a private doctor who runs his own little business. I'm not saying there is no money in league of legends but like I said maybe 25% earn more money then people with college degrees. The rest of them are just happy to play the game and get paid for it and I'm not even comparing them with people that have lets say 20 years of experience in the industry. Finally don't call me a douche as you don't know me...

Unless it doesnt get drawn, but you get the point...

When he says the "on draw" mechanic is unique, he forgot our friend the Iron Juggernaut.
I got it and immediately dust it for a Dr.Boom. It won't be missed.
Anyway, I feel mage really doesn't need this card. For 7 mana, you got flame strike and you can trigger whenever you want. It's true that you still get a 7/7 creature but when you draw it, you also run the risk in burning yours.
Underrated card. Definitely won me more games than lost to it. I'd say 9 out of 10 draws on this card has been either a non-issue (empty board), equal or advantageous, with the other 1 being lethal. Playing with this card a lot i've hit both the craziest blowouts like against a shaman with 2 haunted creepers, 2 nerubian eggs and totems, allowing me to Flamestrike on the same turn, to dying while I was at 1 due to Ice Block. Upside would be vastly better depending on how you build your deck. A war golem is also not irrelevant during the very late stages when most removal have been used. It's still a goddamned 7/7 that will kill the opponent very quickly if unanswered.
for those that don't know, flame leviathan is the feet of voltron, and the little bot that pilots voltron in its core is a clockwork gnome
i dont play heartstone, but I'm a fan of the way krip articulates gameplay, and games.. so I watch most of his videos. I miss the good old days though
What happens when Gnomish Experimenter draws it and turns it into a chicken? Does it trigger the 2 damage or does it get KFC'd before the card effect?
Might be usable in a heavy board clear deck with a lot of spells. Also spell burn decks, as it does 2 damage to the enemy hero also.
it's easy to see why this card usually gives a positive outcome for people who play it. FL is more likely to be in your favour because it's usually drawn at the start of YOUR turn, in your draw phase. 8 times out of 10 your opponent will be trying to clear your board or pumping theirs up.
Before i ALWAYS skip Kripp's talk before the game play, but I realize he gives out pretty decent info in the talk, plus he does a good job presenting a card, please no skipperino kripperion copy pasterino dongerino frappuccino cappucino.

Omg after i watched this vid
i disenchanted my only 4 lefendaries rag,ysera,slvanas and dr. Boom to craft flame leviathan i played 10 games with it and evertime i had lethal on the next turn i was just at 2 hp and everytime i drew flame leviathan and lost the game you told me its a good card kripp i disenchanted it and crafted a golden umstable portal its better than that bullcrap i am out

Listen, I know most of you dislike the new Kripp, but at least he enjoys what he is doing now. I thought he wasn't, until today I saw him play these rng friendly matches. And instead of continous frustration and rage and saltyness he actually just laughed about it and had a good time while some RNG bullshit occured. This made me like to watch the stream again and made me give him another chance. If you don't like the more casual kripp that he is now, go somewhere else and leave this man to do what he likes.

Wait. THere is one card that have that ability to deal dmg when drawn: It's the warrior class legendary. It will put a card in the opponets deck that they draw and take 10dmg.

Flame leviathan isn't the onl the card that has an on draw effect. The explosive mine from iron juggernaut does too.

Kripp does not talk about another downside. It is possibly the only card that tells your opponent when you draw it.

When Trump decided to give Flame Leviathan a chance, he made a proper deck with it and played it in ranked. Kripp is so casual in comparison.
This legendary isn't that terrible in arena either if you don't have much card draw in your deck. When i got to pick it, the anti-synergy with Cult Master wrecked me once, but overall the card's effect was much more helpful than not, and the run resulted in 11-3 score.
This card is very good because it happens on the beginning of your turn, they just got done trading and trying to swing the tempo to their side, therefore they will have the upper advantage at that point most of the time, and this card will come up and swing it back again or at least assist you.
Maybe if the damage it dealt when drawn affected only the opponent then it would be considered more often.

The mine from Juggernaut also has a effect when its drawn..
The worst outcome I've had with leviathan in my freeze mage deck is dealing 2 damage to alex/loot hoarder.
Personally i feel that it is already a pretty good affect, if they wanted to give mage a really good legendary they could add an identical battlecry. Basically giving you a flamestrike and a 7/7 for free.

At the end of your turn your board state will be the strongest and at the start of your turn you will have the weakest board state of the round. You will only draw at the start of your turn or before you make any crucial plays so it makes sense this is pretty good.

Flame leviathan should be 8 mana 7 attack 7 health. when you draw this, deal 2 damage to all characters, except mechs. Or something like that.
I got golden Lame leviathan today in a pack today (with gazlow and piloted sky golem my best pack ever) and thought im keeping this! first golden legendary keeping! saw this video and thought nahhhh. I think I will be upset if it gets buffed or something....

I only have a few 7 slots in my mage deck. Ussually 2-3. Would I play this over flamestrike or Dr Boom or antonidas. No. So he is dust.

i picked this card in arena, went 12 wins, C:, it lost me 1 game though, but won me alot more xD, draw it on turn 1 or 2 and its AMAZING, destroys the pesky 2/1 worgen or some 3/2s they played on turn 2, like damn, c: (ended 12-2 as mage onnly 1 fireball no frostbolts)
As much as I enjoy your opening explanations. Trying out these cards in anything but ranked is kinda pointless when you're trying to illustrate a point. Playing with friends/ casual is much easier to 'set-up' your point though ;)
I don't know exactly what is going on, so I might sound pretty stupid, but isn't TSM a League of Legends thing? (Please correct me if I'm wrong :P because I haven't seen kripp play any LoL before xD...).
The reason why I watch the pro´s on RUclips play Hearthstone is because I can´t make the decks they use, so after seeing them play, my crappy "free-deck" isn´t fun to play anymore :/

Just by looking at the card text strictly, I would say no. Flame Leviathan has to be "drawn" in order to do the effect, whereas chromagus just puts another copy directly to your hand.
