    Hello from Australia!!
I am a University of Sydney student and I absolutely love your videos! I stumbled across them yesterday and have been continuously playing them since! I absolutely love your butterfly traps and would really love to try and make one for an uni assignment I have which involves the study of lepidopterans. I was wondering if you designed the traps yourself? It's a brilliant design and looks to be extremely well-made and robust! I would absolutely love to know where you found the design for it or whether it's your own creation!! Thank you!!!!!

Hello there. I’m so glad you found my channel and are enjoying the videos. I did not design the traps. They are about 30 years old and we’re designed by a friend of mine that passed away some years ago. I’ve been trying to baby them ever since so they last me as long as they can. I’d be happy to try and give you advice on how to produce them. I’ve not done it myself yet, but it’s on my agenda in the near future to make videos on how to make them. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Thanks again for Watching. Good luck on your study on Lepidoptera

@@keysmoths5336 Thank you so much for your reply! I would love some advice on the building of them, especially in relation to how to make them a bit sturdier. Thank you again!

Assuming all of them make it to the adult stage, are you collecting all or do you release some? That is a lot of tawny emperors to mount haha
Have you ever attempted rearing larvae that live under bark? I assume such species would be rather difficult to rear.

We release plenty of them. I only mount a few pairs of each species.
What species live under the bark? I’m assuming you mean moth larvae??

Yeh indeed moth larvae - I don't know of any butterfly larvae that live under bark either.
