Dr. Jamal Harrison-Bryant 94' & Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr. 93' were both invited back this year to be the guest preachers for the 2022 Morehouse Homecoming Worship Service. These are two of the most prominent preachers in America today! After service, they both did a sermonic discussion to allow those to gain a better understanding, theologically, of their perspectives on their sermons and the message they were trying to convey relating to the humility of Jesus. Also, they took questions from young college students on a range of issues concerning leadership, daily devotion, theological implications, and a host of other topics. This discussion is one for the ages!

This has greatly blessed my life. I have so many regrets about not pursuing ministry more heavily in my youth. Now 46 years old, I want to redeem the time and fulfill the calling of God on my life. Career will no longer be first. God bless these men of God! Thank you Jesus Christ 🙏🏽🙌🏽💯
My grandfather preached until he was 70 years of age. None of these Pastors or ministers are old Keep Preaching to reach each one the Lord has called you to teach!
What an awesome post-sermonic offering and what revelation about stepping out on faith and not waiting for the First Generation to retire. Both have mightily used their gifts, almost from the womb. Their fathers (and mothers) are surely proud. Chapel is an amazing experience. 🙌🏾

He called my Daddy LA Myers .For my Daddy's church was Mount Hermon A.M.E Church Fort. Lauderdale, FL right behind .His Church Mount Olive Baptist Church Fort. Lauderdale , FL. WOW And with Dr.Jamal Bryant your Father was friends with my Daddy as well he helped to be elected Bishop in the A.M.E Church in the 80's so I under as well how the A.M.E Church as well! Knowing when to pass the mantle
Dr. Smith you are correct. The reason why Jesus said " I don't know the day nor the hour of my 2nd return, on;y the Father knows. If Jesus came to earth with that knowledge, then He would have acted out of anxiousness and not faith" I've got to hurry up and save humanity" type thinking. When Jesus came back from the dead and after He went back to heaven, He put back into himself the part of him that He emptied!

Not to dismiss anything that was said but we in the black church put more emphasis on being a good preacher but never push evangelism to the lost. Go out of the four walls and touch the people. Put down the Dr. Title and go get the sinner and meet the needs...

He is a very gifted and talented man (Dr. J. Bryant), but where does he see Jesus fight restraint?
When Jesus spoke of being able to have legions of angels, while on the cross. That was restraint. When Christ asked for this cup to pass him, that was fighting restraint, IMO.

Humility is the bastardized birth right of black men?!!? Humility does not mean to let someone walk over you, nor does it mean that others are better than, but it means to esteem others higher than yourself. It means to bring edification to the body of Christ not to any one member, unless that member is sick or injured.
Humility does not fall on the black man at birth. It falls on the born again believer who takes on the Spirit of Christ.

He just showed a video about the charlatan on the left last week. If you would like his name and information, let me know.
