Some folks enjoy looking at a Picasso or a Rembrandt, but I would rather gaze upon this car all day long! You can't get inside a painting and drive it down the Pacific Coast Highway or wherever.
Don't worry, I have been standing next to this car for two weeks at mecum kissimmee to speak with hundreds of people passing by. And you're right, a lot of things to say about this awesome, all matching numbers and rare optionned Z/28.
It has the Endura Bumper option, basically a steel bumper covered with a specially formed closed-cell urethane foam that was bonded to a steel frame and was painted body color, the Firebirds and GTO also used their version of the endura bumper.
Most likely a vacuum leak somewhere in your system. In my experience I had defective vacuum actuator canisters twice on three cars. Easy to change, but takes a bit of work to reajust and make sure the doors stop at the correct position when closed with a repro part. Had to slightly slot holes in the bracket holding the canister for headlights to have a nice ajustment when closed (done after the video).
@@longtinautosport with a 539 lift 292 duration cam barely pulls 12 in of vacuum at 1,200 RPMs not enough to open the doors or the brakes have a vacuum can for the brakes but couldn't do anything more for the headlights so I went to Detroit engineering much better setup
@@johnpaulmierz6978 you're absolutely right. I had 3 of these and I always thought it was quite funny that GM installed those vacuum operated headlights on engines that barely make enough vacuum at idle to operate them. They will open at idle, but very slowly. If you give it a bit of gas or open them while driving you won't have any problem. I have another video that I made for BAT to show my potential buyers they were functionnal, but I have to rev it to 12-1300rpms.
What’s the price brother? Don’t keep us in suspense. If it’s sold, then at least give us a range it went for. Some of us are in the market for one of these and may be shopping around.
Dual carbs, I was already blown away then the hood opens. To own this car I would be so happy I wouldn't need not a single darn thing inmy life.
