Beautiful ‘69 Z/28. So nice to see that it been left as original as possible. This car is in great hand of its present care taker. One very lucky man 👌😊
Brings back memories for me My childhood friend had a neighbor who had a 69 Lemans blue with black top "flat hood "non spoiler Z /28 . This was around 1973 when they were cheap used cars that people were trying to get out of because of the "energy crisis ".
Such a cool car! When I was 10 years old in 1969 my Dad went to the Chevy dealer to buy a new Caprice 4dr. Inside the showroom they had a 1969 RS Z28 in this yellow with the black stripes. I was so excited to see such a car and tried to talk my Dad into buying it but he had four kids and a wife so he bought the Caprice! During my life I have owned 7 69 Camaros one of them was a Lemans Blue 69 RS Z28 and another was a 69 RS SS convertible. I almost painted the Lemans Blue Z yellow so it could be my dream car but since it was originally Lemans Blue I stuck with that! So needless to say a Yellow RS Z like this one is on my bucket list! Thanks for posting such a cool video!
From the photos this car never had the D80 spoiler option, I appreciate that nobody added them to the car later in it's life and kept it as it came from the factory 👍 .
I had a 69 Z/28, a 71, a 78, and a 79. They all had spoilers. I have never heard of any Z/28 from any year that did not have a spoiler. This one also has the RS option, but NO SPOILER. It does not look right at all.

Really nice looking 69 Z28 302 sounds really good, brings back a lot of memories. I had a 69 GTO 400 small block. Had a few runs with a 69-Z28 DZ302, my buddy owned one. Beautiful car, nice to see.
There’s nothing better than a RS option on the 69 Z/28. Back in ‘74 I owned a 68 Z/28 while in College and a friend of mine is the current owner. My current Z28 is a 70 4-spd which I purchased from the original owner back in ‘81. I spoke with the orig owner 3 summers ago while I was on a poker run and he wants to buy the car back, but its not for sale and he doesn’t want any other 70 Z28.
Now thats an honest car..that original owner truly loved it and knew then it was a keeper. May have been a pain moving it to other countries but weird driving it every day everwhere? No different than any late model car...gas it up and go. Dailied these 80s through the 90s/early 2000s To let the sit is rediculous, just take a picture and save the $ .

LOL idk dude. A lot of the road tests from 69'-70' have that boss eat Z/28 dust I'm just saying. There was even a test that was done on a road course along with the Trans Am, Javalin and Boss. Boss came in third. The Z took the 1/4 mile race. The 71' Boss imo was the better competitor

Back in 69 this 302 had the highest lift cam and duration which gave it the nicest sound on any mouse motor on any other car

Yeah, kinda funny that Chevy did it that way

cool!
Very nice indeed 👍🏻
That is one beautiful Camaro
It definitely is
Is that an early model run no cowl hood or rear spoiler maybe built in late 68 early 69
I think he says it was made in late 68 at some part of the video
Were the hideaway headlights standard or option on a 69 Z28?
It was an option, the RS package is what had the hideaway headlights.
Only avsilable on the Z/28 rally sports
@@ronconrad2615 Plenty of non Z rs cars made in 69

Who cares? The car isn't 100% original anyway.
I’ve never seen a 69 z28 without a cowl hood, I used to drive a z28/rs in 1973. It has rear bumper guards?
Yeah it was an option to have a flat hood. It appears to have rear bumper guards.
I’ll take it.
So which car would win in a quarter-mile a Z 28 or a Camaro SS with a 396 /375 HP. ?
It would depend on the tune, tires, and the drivers
It’s nice… it would have be good if he would have ordered it with cowl hood and spoiler package…thanks buddy…
Why no back spoiler ? I thought that all 69 z/28 came with one .
Just asking , not judging
It was an option to not have a rear spoiler

A standard z but an RS /Z28 would have the somewhat hidden head lights lol ,not like the 67/68 RS Z/28

Please no. ZL2 hood wasn't even available until very late December so not having one on this car is correct. Nice to see them this way.
