This can be used for some really good animatronics. Like elephant trunks to give them a more lifelike movements. Also octopus like attacking a ship and having the lifelike movements can really pay off for it. Also snake type animatronics would also greatly benefit from this. Also this can be used for swaying plant life in water as well that does not have a current like an aquarium.

No, their content isn't even close. Gear Down For What makes very complex, difficult to make things. Just look at this robot, look at all the moving parts and code he needed to write. Look at his rear differential video. As much as I love Simone, all she ever does is stick something on a servo and make it go up and down, or wave back and forth. The toothbrusher, the vegetable chopper, the alarm clock. Literally everything she makes is just attaching something to a servo. I highly doubt she's capable of creating anything in the same realm of what Gear Down For What does. He builds actual robots, does the math for, and creates unique gearboxes; she plays with erector sets and attached a servo on it.

I like that it kinda solves the problem i often notice with current robots: motion. Robots move "mechanic" with stutter-like manner, but this thing allows for fluid motion, as human and animals can. In some sort it resembles a muscle, i think, but in slightly different implementation, but general principle is the same.

since you got this far with the idea, I have several suggestion for its purpose
    - mount a small camera on top of it, and make it a flexible security cam that can not only see 360 degree, but to look at the corner and top of a building
    - since it can spin a lot, then you can make an unique 3D printer, that has a snake like Hot End
    - mount a tiny grinder tool on top of it, and make...maybe the first 3D sculptor?
    - make a helper arm for disabled people or people with illness so they can reach stuff while staying on their wheel chair
