Barbara having a crush on Batman/Bruce is cute and even funny if written the right way. Batman actually reciprocating in any way, instead of politely or comedically shooting her down is what nightmares are made of.

Yep. Same. Didn't expect it this long, and on this topic. Pleasantly surprised, slip makers off the hook for now; but you're on thin ice mister. I know you are listening.
I thought it was odd that you spent five hours and six minutes talking about the bat credit card from Batman and Robin, but you know what? I’ll let this artistic liberty slide.

The man, the legend, Kevin Conroy. Gone too soon and I miss him every time I hear a Batman that isn't him. Which is no insult to anyone else who has voiced or will voice the character. I wanna shoutout the announcement of this project being the exact kick in the pants for me to not only finally check out Batman TAS but also getting me interested through that show to check most of the rest of the DC AU. I may not have grown up with Kevin Conroy's Batman, but the character at large has always appealed to me, and this version of Batman is by-and-far my definitive one now. The central theme of empathy enveloping the hero and his rogue's gallery struck a chord with me. It's in this connection that I can understand the grief people feel over the Batman they grew up with passing away. RIP Kevin Conroy, you were the best one to do it.
Daaaamn!! What a way to start the new year, baby. I work nights so I'll be able to watch this entire beast maybe in one go. Thanks my good man, looking forward to the next handful of hours!
Every few years I return back to watching/reading/playing all my favourite Batman media, and basically all of them include Conroys Batman. I'm currently in the middle of one such time period, so this is as perfect a timing as it gets.
Terry Mguiness is the crown jewel of the DCAU's contribution to the batman mythos. Its wild to think Terry neebr existed before 1999, I can't imagine the Batman story without him.
It took me eight hours to watch/listen to a five hour video. I can only imagine the amount of work and effort that went into this. As a young millennial, Kevin will always be my Batman. Thank you.
Great stuff! I'm so happy someone is finally covering *Justice League: Action* ! I mean, it wasn't a "full show retrospective", but it was much more complete on that particular topic than any other video on the subject that is, to my knowledge, available on youtube. I guess I got lucky, first couple episodes I watched were some Kevin Conroy highlights, between the Batman/Booster Gold crossover _"Time Out"_ , which tugged at my heartstrings when Batman finally realizes through the course of the episode that Booster is much , MUCH more than the dumb, lazy, unfocused comic relief who is constantly screwing up... The moment Kevin Conroy's Batman is torn because if they follow Booster's plan, that means he never gets to find that out and will continue to treat him poorly in the future, that was genuinely heartbreaking for me... Batman : What are you doing? Booster Gold : I'm sorry, Bats. I have to push you outside the time stream. Just trust me. Batman : Booster, do that and I'll be returned to just before we left. I won't remember any of this. Booster Gold : That's okay, Bats. *I will.* Batman : ...I was wrong about you. You're a better person than anybody gives you credit for. Maybe one day, I'll find that out. Right after that, I watched the Batman/Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes, voiced by Jake T Austin, who had already voiced Jaime in the DCAMU) crossover _"Time Share"_ , a love letter to Batman:TAS in which they go back to Batman's first real big time mission in which Bruce took on Carmine "the Roman" Falcone and his mafia... Not as much a tear-jerker as the last one, but very fun if you're a lifetime fan of Kevin Conroy. There are plenty of references/callbacks to Batman:TAS, so even if one doesn't feel like watching JL/Action from start to finish, it's a fun episode to check out if you're a B:TAS enthusiast. After that I was hooked, and watching a few episodes every day became a routine until I exhausted the catalogue. Frankly, *Justice League: Action* is the DC animated show that I wish more people would give a chance to (my live action equivalent would be either *Superman & Lois* , a really good show that a lot of people discard because "Late CW? Eww, must suck then", same reason as to why it's difficult to get people to watch *Stargirl* despite being another quality DC show), when promoting it myself I usually push it as "come oooon, it's the last show in which Conroy consistently voiced Batman for, and he's in amost every episode! Don't you want moar Conroy/Mark Hamill action?" ... but secretely I hope that they end up liking that episode so much that they binge the rest of the show. Anyway, that was a really solid video, nice 2025 present for us ^^ Cheers from France o/ RF

Idk how to say this, but I played the Batman beyond part of the video for my BF to hear, and when you went into the Batman almost getting his youth back part my bf cut in to say, "That's Ra's you know! He didn't have to kiss batman but he did!" and I lost it. XD I grew up with Batman the animated series as a kid as well, and same here. Kevin Conroy is my batman as well. Still glad my BF saw that the Crisis on infinite earth was streaming on one serve early on for free, and we watched it waiting for the next movie to drop, and when we heard Kevin in the last one we lost it by clapping and yelling in joy. We both grew up with the animated series. Mine being the first animated series and my BF batman beyond. I never meet the man myself, but with what I heard about him, and what I grew up with from his body of work I am glad that my favorite super hero is Batman. Also random side note: Before batman I used to watch the Disney Zorro late at night with my late grandma, when Disney channel used to show it, which are high found memories with me. So when I got into batman as a kid, and found out that Zorro was his inspiration. It made me smile, because a hero I liked so much made me adore them even more, with then being connected to someone I only knew about thanks to my grandmother.
Titan Joker in Asylum' concept art was sick, it was probably intended to be a stealth/horror section like the Bane section of Origins but they just couldnt get it together in time

Im not finished this video yet but mad respect for beating Jak 2, That was my jam as a kid I know that game like the back of my hand but that first playthrough was brutal when i was younger. Btw fun fact Kevin Conroy voices the Fisherman in the first Jak and Daxter

Nate don't say cute and funny in the same sentence or the guys from the /b/ board will come
It’s a side effect of when Bruce Timm was reading comics. Pre-Crisis Batman and Batgirl were around the same age. She got aged down post-Crisis.
