Thanks a million for all of these record collection bits!
This is the second video I've seen where the audience shows it's reverence for Fred Rogers when Dave plays a song of his. A testament to a special man.
thank you for assembling and posting this, Don. what a life -being just a cog on the wheel! William Shatner was as important to the series as anyone yet he was prohibited from even mentioning Star Trek on cover of his album to help sell it.no wonder it only sold 3 copies worldwide.
how come? Nemoy had trek all over his? Or the look I should say...was it literally no ST mention or ANYTHING to do with it? Thanks.
Oh, the wacky world of the Woolworth's dollar collection of cut-outs! Dave you're the best! He is the gift that keeps on giving.
I watched the September 3rd show as it aired live, and was surprised when two of the records from my own collection ended up in the segment! I never thought I'd see this again, so... thanks!
"All new for '92!"
ha! these are the best yet! hilarious. i do a collage/community radio show now and then (used to be a regular years ago now im a sub dj.) i would throw some of these on . great!
28:15 Olivia Records !!! I didnt expect to see them here, pioneering little label
Wolfman Jack's lp is number 2 here.
The best parts are his responses to Mister Rogers' songs (in good-hearted humor, which I think Fred himself got a good laugh at):
(on Troll Talk) "You know, I think he needs to ventilate the workshop when he's painting the puppets."
(on Tree, Tree, Tree) "Honestly, Fred, how much time did you spend writing that song?"
(on I'm Angry) "Oh yeah, this guy's a regular (insert popular WWF wrestler at the time here), isn't he?"
(on Marriage) "That's right, 'really going to marry my mom.' You get the feeling he's sitting there singing to a skeleton wearing a wig."
The Missing Link wrestled in World Class Championship Wrestling/USWA, not WWF (who would’ve given him a shitty gimmick).
david liked the same wacky records for over a decade as documented in these latest videos.
strangest of all sounds: 14:50 "We'll be back with Jay Leno!"
Our friend Dennis Miller
Dave got all those wrestler names PERFECTLY lol
He grew up watching Dick the Bruiser in Indy area. He got to know tons of great wrestlers in his career. Miss Dave on TV
Wow wilfred actually sounded better than an ANYONE else in all 6 videos.
Not only is it why he and Regis don't carpool anymore, it's why Regis can't have nice things.
lol, I loved the Kreskin bit at 16:15...hahaha
How does he do it ! 😮
They certainly got their money worth out of the CRC album
does anyone know if 'flight of germ-laden housefly' is still available? hopefully in dolby? BTW ..in addition to dave i love fred rogers! what a truly great man! always thinking about what was best for kid's brains! Not caring about johnny or dave ripping on him!
Damn, they released some crap on vinyl.
I once saw Dave play a clip from a spoken word album promoting astrology, and the clip was of David Crosby. I haven't found it in any of your videos; do you have it?
I have every show. Don’t recall this, however, so I’ll search for it tomorrow.
Fly at minute 11:00🤣🤣🤣
You know? You can listen to Ethel's disco record on Amazon Music. Isn't that shocking?
21:26 I'm ANGRY.....RRRRRUUUUUAHHHHH
IT would have been great to have the 2nd xmas albums in this collection. Is that the ONLY one missing?
The Late Show lacked these segments.
They existed, just not as frequently.
There's no way that was actually Wilford Brimley.
I completely agree with you there!
I was thinking the same thing!
Everything was better in the 90s
