I have started looking on my potato bags to see where they come from since watching your videos...and some do come from Maine all the way here in Tennessee...Thank You
They use to grow so many potatoes around my little town the school mascot is a "Spud" and the students are called "Spudders." 😕All subdivisions now.☹Thanks for sharing your time with us, Blessed Days...😁
Great Entertainment and education for us " townies" thanks both for a great potato harvest, always honest and upfront, staggering money for potatoes but I also get the costs involved, salaries, taxes, equipment, Red tape ie Rules & Regulations etc etc, look forward to the next videos..
Great potato harvest season is over👍👍 Too many miles, and a border, means I can help as a drive, much as it’d be a perfect fit. It’s a shame folks can’t drive stick anymore. I spent a bunch of time trying to teach new drivers stick for a friend. It was like trying to teach a wall to walk.
You and Shane are both super cool and awesome!! I always like to watch your videos! Thank you for sharing this segment with us. It's so great to see different aspects of your lives and your activities on your farm.
Our restaurant uses a lot of potatoes in a day. I can appreciate your labour. Those 50lb bags are heavy and we usually use 3 full bags daily. Thank you.
I wish i was closer. I'd drive for you all just for fresh potatoes! Im a retired truck driver, But it's a long drive from sw Michigan. I really enjoy seeing how things are done. When i first started driving while waiting to get unloaded most places would let you look arround. But then covid hit and everyone was afraid of cross contamination. Thanks for bringing us along.
Thanks so much for all the work that goes into filming and editing. Your videos give me a new appreciation for the work involved and the efficiency of modern farming.
Thank you so much Molly for taking your valuable time to share with us your farming operations. It’s important for me to show my Grands where their food comes from. Awesome videos. You’re the best!!
Very interesting for a retired farmer in South Australia to see how it’s done over in the US ,we also grow lots of potatoes around Penola and Kalangadoo not far from mt gambier .
What a great season you've had, Molly, it's been a blast seeing it from start to finish. Your channel has top-shelf content, quality, production and especially your presentation! Cheers.
“I’ll see what I can do to help.” Do you know how special that statement is? You’re special : always enthused and willing to learn. A great ambassador for Bells Farms. I love seeing the potatoes on the conveyor belts traveling into the truck or into the storage, the reward for the hard work. If you find yourselves strapped for truck drivers, I’m an old farmer, retired, and would love to help. Driven lots of trucks and tractors.
Make sure you check those bulkheads before, during and after you fill the bins. I would hate if something bad happened - seeing you stand next to that wall with all those potatoes behind it makes me nervous! Thanks for vids!
Absolutely love your channel I am from the UK and I watch a lot of farming channels it's great to see the difference in farms in different countries I just want to say I've never seen so many potatoes I stumbled on your channel by accident but I am glad I did a fantastic channel and you are always smiling 👏👏👏👏👍👍
Shane and Molly, I've always liked potatoes but you've taken it to a whole new level! Great to watch how automated you are. With harvest done and days getting shorter hope you get to relax a little bit more. I'm going to go cook a potato. Thanks for Sharing! 🙃🙂
bells farm molly in the potato storage, several tons in storage, also under a storage temperature frost free, will be for a few months, good overview of the farm me drone nice, truck driving molly, too few truck drivers with a driver's license, for the last potatoes from the country, Bessy also watches to see if everything goes well, weekend again Friday, see you next vlog good day
Being disabled you made my life so so much better enjoyable. Love you with your best . Hard working dual. My heart will always be at your step. Can my eyes water? I’ll keep sane. Bless your families, workers , friends. Customers and all I cannot begin to say as part of your excellent world! Bless both God loves you and so do I!
Viewing from east central Alberta, Canada. Enjoy watching the harvest, it's always to see the results of along season of gently careing for the precious crop to come!
Great to see a new video Molly! Quick question came up when you mentioned fresh potatoes out of the field. Any difference between those and the ones that go into storage? Thanks!
Binged watched all episodes so now I just wait on the new videos. Molly had me at AIC and Tool fan, lol. I’ve tried watching other farming vids but nothing compares to Molly.
Awesome!!! It’s funny I have done the same thing with a few channels I watch, and it really cool to know that people are doing the same with my channel! Thank you! I will always love AIC and Tool 🫶😊
@@BellsFarmingI like your videos and I also benge watch your channel because you don't find content like you have. I especially like it when you and Shane are in it together! ❤
I love the drone footage, and by the way, you know bagging taters is the highlight of your day... 😂. Another great video Molly, thanks for the time it takes to make these videos.😊
First of all, I enjoy the pink John Deere cap; secondly, Shane is a master at filling your storage, thirdly, I know how to drive a manual, 1949 Ford F-500 grain truck, but I am 1200 miles west of you, and fourth, I have been notorious during my years at John Deere of finding lower cost solutions. That Sputnik equipment gets me wondering if there are opportunities. Enjoy your videos!
This is the first time I get to see the end result of your potato harvest. I really enjoyed seeing how all this works. I am glad your season was so successful Thank you for showing us how to solve works.
Hi Molly! Congratulations for the 50K subs! It's a tremendous achievement and just to let you know that we, the farmers in Québec are your biggest fans hahahaha.
Molly I'm really glad you started this youtube channel. It's really cool to see the work you guys do. Never realized that it is kind a five or six day a week job pretty much year-round. Hope you guys sometimes get a vacation (other than that campsite you showed us earlier), and also hoping this channel brings in a lot of revenues. You are really adding value!! Watching the unloading in front of the store - was wondering if you might give us an overview of the physical layout of the main location. There are lots of buildings/equipment, but we only see a bit of it. Lastly, any plans for improvements? I was thinking it might be better to move the unloading/potato storage to the back of store instead of in front where it is now.
That is really a huge pile of potatoes. I have noticed that the potatoes coming off the trucks, actually look fairly clean. Still a lot of sanitizing to be done; but, a lot easier with the cleanliness of the spuds as they come out of the fields. Really good equipment used the right way. I remember getting brown paper bags of potatoes with windows on them, that had a goodly amount of dirt in them.
I don't know about anyone else, but I find watching your farming videos very relaxing. You have a real good video style and I love the drone footage. BTW, when I was young, you HAD to know how to drive a standard shift vehicle or you weren't driving. Mike from Mass.
Hey Mike! Thank you very much for watching. I’m glad you like the way I make videos, they take a long time to make, so I’m glad you watch the whole video! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@BellsFarming I understand we has a small dairy farm of 200 dairy cows...never again!!! Then 80 Arabian horses and never again for that either!! I think I should just be a professional potato truck driver... Loved silage season.. the thrill of getting more loads to the silage pit than expected.. the sense of accomplishment of finishing a field and moving on to another one.
Luckily we do not have rodent problems, obviously there are the occasional creature that shows up, but we work really hard to keep the grounds mowed and keep clutter away from the buildings. As part of our food safety program, we have modern pest (commercial pest management company) monitor traps and bate boxes in and around the facility. To be honest I see the most damage from rodents come right out of the field. The critters will snack on potatoes in the fields.
Enjoy watching the videos, amazes me how much the farm does with a handful of hard workers. I also appreciate if any F bombs were said they were edited out making the videos a family friendly affair. Thanks for sharing so much of your time!!
I love the time lapse of the Potato pile being built.
I never realized how much I loved starch until I discovered this channel and Molly wearing a purple sweater! 🥔
Great job videoing! I love how you showed the hole operation. Can’t wait for the next harvest video’s👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
