    Great potato harvest season is over👍👍
    Too many miles, and a border, means I can help as a drive, much as it’d be a perfect fit. It’s a shame folks can’t drive stick anymore.

    “I’ll see what I can do to help.” Do you know how special that statement is? You’re special : always enthused and willing to learn. A great ambassador for Bells Farms. I love seeing the potatoes on the conveyor belts traveling into the truck or into the storage, the reward for the hard work. If you find yourselves strapped for truck drivers, I’m an old farmer, retired, and would love to help. Driven lots of trucks and tractors.

That Sputnik equipment gets me wondering if there are opportunities. Enjoy your videos!

    Molly I'm really glad you started this youtube channel. It's really cool to see the work you guys do. Never realized that it is kind a five or six day a week job pretty much year-round. Hope you guys sometimes get a vacation (other than that campsite you showed us earlier), and also hoping this channel brings in a lot of revenues. You are really adding value!!
    Watching the unloading in front of the store - was wondering if you might give us an overview of the physical layout of the main location. There are lots of buildings/equipment, but we only see a bit of it.
    Lastly, any plans for improvements? I was thinking it might be better to move the unloading/potato storage to the back of store instead of in front where it is now.

    That is really a huge pile of potatoes. I have noticed that the potatoes coming off the trucks, actually look fairly clean. Still a lot of sanitizing to be done; but, a lot easier with the cleanliness of the spuds as they come out of the fields. Really good equipment used the right way. I remember getting brown paper bags of potatoes with windows on them, that had a goodly amount of dirt in them.

    • @BellsFarming
      @BellsFarming  17 часов назад

      Luckily we do not have rodent problems, obviously there are the occasional creature that shows up, but we work really hard to keep the grounds mowed and keep clutter away from the buildings. As part of our food safety program, we have modern pest (commercial pest management company) monitor traps and bate boxes in and around the facility. To be honest I see the most damage from rodents come right out of the field. The critters will snack on potatoes in the fields.
