Clarification: At 9:51 it seems like I am talking about Corlys during the reign of Viserys because he is the king on screen, however in that moment I am actually talking about the past, as he was wed to Rhaenys and became master of ships over a decade earlier under Jaehaerys. Which is why Viserys got to inherit the loyalty and fleet of an already powerful house. However I should have made that more clear.

Viserys was right about something there, Daemon would not have been a good king. Daemon was exciting, a great warrior and even charismatic, but that is not what makes a good king. Being a good king is boring. Bringing stability for the realm for the benefit of the people because war is bad for your citizens' health and stomachs. Choosing the best council and ministers but always reading their reports and following up with them to no be an absentee ruler. Hearing petitions, not just for exciting things but the mundane. Weighing the cost/benefit for public works projects, including unglamorous but necessary ones like sanitation.
Daily governance would be filled with so much paperwork and decision making the ruler would barely have any free time, certainly no flying off on your dragon anytime you want. At least that's if you're a good king. To paraphrase Tywin about Robert Baratheon "Winning a throne, is not the same as ruling".
Daemon didn't do any prestigious Small Council government job he was given by his brother because he found them boring. He only liked anything involving fighting, whoring, and drinking with his followers. That's Robert.
If Daemon became king, he would be so bored, his mercurial nature would make him cause chaos or he would be completely absent like Robert was in search of excitement. Seems like people want the throne without any thought to the reality of it afterwards.
God... I cannot WAIT to be so completely disappointed

FYI: The Summer Islanders were also prolific seafarers.

@@darklordmalthric3633 It won't be changed just more fleshed out as far as the main characters so they'd become more relatable. But the relationship between Daemon the Rogue Prince and Rheanyra the Realm's Delight will be relatively the same.

Let's see if they create a good backstory to justify him being dark skinned, i don't mind if it's realistic and makes sense

I think this vid took about 50 hours (roughly), normally for me its about 40 hours of work per 10 minutes of video, but It depends on the topic and universe. LOTR vids for example take longer than normal.
A lot of pain could have been avoided if he just designated Rhaenyra as Heir Presumptive instead of Heir Apparent

Didn't Corlys Velaryon resign his position as master of ships in the book, after Jaeherys named Baelon heir instead of Rhaenys? I don't think he was master of ships when Viserys was crowned.
If you're referring to 10:10 then yeah I now see how I made it seem like I was talking about what happened under Viserys, since he was the king on screen, but in that moment, since I also brought up getting married to Rhaenys, I was talking about the past during the reign of Jaehaerys before he left the council. I should have made that clearer but I guess I thought since I mentioned his getting married people would now I was talking about the past. But now I see it doesnt come off that way. I'll try to be more clear in the future, thanks.

I would have loved to see the conflict that would've broken out between Aenys children and if Maegor had children with all his wives.
He had 3 with his first wife, but two died before the king did.

A lot of what if questions and how the story for that family could have been so different than the ones we know
