Interesting to see Mont Kiara becoming a Japan town over the years. Ironically, its only the younger generation that have seen a need to do this. Japanese community have actually been in Malaysia from the early 1970s onwards when there were many Japanese factories in Selangor. But the Japanese of that era usually settled down near where they worked, which was PJ or Shah Alam. That's why the Japanese school is in Shah Alam, to cater to the many Japanese families living in PJ and Shah Alam.
Mont Kiara is very popular for foreign expat in the beginning, then gradually many foreigner like to stay there. Korean, Japanese, Westerners and other races too. Is not surprised that some of the staff work there spoke some Korean & Japanese.
U should emphasize foreign EXPAT. Not just foreigner. Mont kiara is for RICH foreigner. So u wont find foreigners like Myanmar, Pakistan foreigners unless they are frm rich family
with the mass migration of japanese in mont kiara ,soon mont kiara become little japan as we have chinatown in kuala lumpur, litlle india in brickfield.. 🤣🤣
@@deshwitat_2 true bro, I support your statement 100%. But their smell is, ughhh. I'm not trying to making fun of them, but I hope they realize how unpleasant the smell is and change for the better. Especially in a close confined space, I almost faint. Also some tourist complain that Malaysia isn't safe because some people love to get close to them and taking pictures and what not. The tourist have mistaken these foreign workers as Malaysians. We still need them for the workforce but yeah, that's the downside of having them around. Even us Malaysians doesn't feels safe when they're around in large group
Very good review 👍 Mont Kiara is well covered. The delicious food, affordable living, ease of travel to other neighbouring countries for holidays is heaven in Malaysia
Mont Kiara is everything but affordable to be honest. I feel the pinch living here even though my earnings would easily categorize me as the top 20% in Malaysia.
Welcome to MK. Population in MK from my observation living here for over 6 years: 25% Japanese, 20% Korean, 20% western expats, 15% other expats (Indian, Chinese, etc), 20% local. Yes, us locals are the minority in this town 😄 But it's nice to surround ourselves with people from other cultures and walks of life. I even married a Korean (partly why I live here).
Possible if the place you stay is near to the train station. Or if your workplace is near the train station. If you want to commute by taxi, better use Grabcar. Many people use Grabcar but it can be expensive
Not sure how Sabah and Sarawak in East Malaysia can have anything to do with the rapid business development in Klang Valley, which is self generated due to tourism and business.

We heard there are many unloved and lonely Japanese housewives in Mont Kiara. Please make a vlog on how we locals can contact and entertain them.

Reason is 'sebab boleh'
Japan population getting lesser, why not stay in japan?
