    I appreciate your videos on the SY-300. Much more in depth than others that demo only the settings and the tone match. These parameters is where the magic happens in my opinion. I was on the fence about it until seeing your videos and I placed an order. Nice work.

    Are there any musical oscillators that a guitar player would like or is it all just 60s B grade movie seasick stuff?

    Hi Austin, is it possible to modulate an LFO with another? It seems they are parallel... For instance i like to apply random to the LFO rate.

    Hi Austin, I have a question, does this synth feature an adsr envelope?

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  5 лет назад

      There are ways to reproduce ADSR esc sounds but the controls do not follow typical ADSR signal flow. Using the LFO and the waveform controls could give you the sound you're looking for.

    Hi ! Is it possible to link the LFO rate to the internal tempo clock?

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  6 лет назад +1

      Yes. If you turn the LFO Rate knob up to rhythmic note values, the note values are linked to the internal BPM.

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  5 лет назад

      Yes! the Rate knob when turned all the way up will display rhythmic note. those are the rhythmic subdivisions of the internal tempo clock.

    Hey Austin great vids..as usual. Can you post a vid on connecting midi stuff to the SY-300? I cant find any vids an what you can actually do with the SY-300's midi capabilities. Plz help. Thanks

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  5 лет назад

      It depends on what you want to do with MIDI. There's literally a sea of unless options. I could get into a MIDI basics and how to video in the near future. MIDI language is pretty universal so if I make a video for one

    could you show us how to ajust the adsr envelopes of the oscillators? I want to be able to shape the sounds in length, that seems to be missing, from what I've seen so far

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  5 лет назад +1

      The controls on the SY do not feature typical ADSR controls. You could use any of the built in FX to achieve some of these controls you're looking for.

    Hi Austin. Great video series. Thank you! I'm having trouble finding a way to set/adjust basic amp parameters (ADSR). Are these not controllable or am I just lost? Thanks, David - Ventura, CA

    • @AustinSandick

      Standard adsr controls on a traditional synth are not available on the sy300.

      Thanks for the reply. Are there other ways to apply slow attack, release? Would maybe LFO amplitude work for attack? How about release? I have to wonder how the pad patches work??

    • @vubear

      Maybe it has the Slow Gear pedal modelled in the effects section. That's how I do it on the VG 99.@@davidcunningham178

    Austin is it possible to use the boss gt1000 and the sy 300 together and what are the routing options? do you need to have mixer?

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  5 лет назад

      It is possible. Personally I would put the SY first in the chain because the SY is input sensitive. That being said other have had successful tones putting the SY later in the chain. You could hook the SY into one of the FX Loops on the GT and you can move the SY300 anywhere in the signal chain.

    is it possible to emulate a synth lead sound like Derek Sherinian's Monster Lead sound on this pedal?

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  7 лет назад +2

      this is quite possible. Listening to the song it sounds like a LFO or two is being used to create that filter movement. I could try to recreate something like this and post the settings.

    does this unit output midi notes? can I play another synth through the SY300 with my guitar?

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  7 лет назад

      Michael Bath it does send midi note data but only monophonically not polyphonically.

      Hi Austin, how do I do that? My SY300 sends a lot of midi data (so I guess it is properly connected), but no note events so far.

    • @AustinSandick
      @AustinSandick  5 лет назад

      Yes you can do this but only monophonically. no polyphony.
