Higashiyama Zoo on a rainy day. The same day as the previous video.
Usually Shabani's daughter Annie doesn't like to get wet in the rain, but on this day she was enjoying the rain.
Shabani was beating his chest in response to Annie's chest-beat.
The father and daughter Chest-Beating session sounded great.
Shabani's son, Kiyomasa, usually hates to get wet in the rain, but seeing Annie enjoying the rain, he was also enjoying the rain.
Annie is a very good mood maker.
The gorillas' fur was shiny and beautiful in the rain.
Nene, an elderly female gorilla who hates the rain the most, was indoors and eating well from lunchtime.

Maybe the question is that animals are so much like us when it's we're not so different from them.

They are INCREDIBLY smart, but not as smart as Homo sapiens. (us)
What they lack in intelligence they make up for in raw strength. These animals could EASILY kill a human with no effort required.

They have adapted to live in the wild, hence the fur. They don’t have heating and shelter from weather like us.

Kiyomassa has a lot of swag when he walks in the rain.
Shabani is one of the funniest silverbacks out there. I think he likes that he can clean himself in the rain and also everyone leaves food behind on rainy days so he gets extra yummies!

Shabani has always loved the rain. They should give him a small pool with water so he can have fun in it. I remembered seeing him in a video where he was dancing in water.
or maybe he should be back home where he belongs...he is not an object to be gawped at through a glass prison....he is a wild beast.....no animal should be in captivity...just for our pleasure! so we can make fun of their behaviour we will never understand??!!! how sad are we & what have we become
All Shabani needs is a bottle of shampoo and conditioner as well as body wash and he's all set for his rain shower! He cracks me up and ne er ceases to amazing.

That gorilla acts way too human to be real 🤣 the way he walks up right on both feet and decides it’s too wet and cold to go outside, I feel like I can relate since I also hate getting wet lol🤷🏻♂️😂🤣.

I think Shabanis kids learned how it's advantageous to walk upright when you're in rain or looking for food so they do the same. They are hilarious. Just like him.
Do they have a climbing apparatus I never seen them on it in this family.
@@mansonrf Yes, in the middle of the outdoor part of their enclosure is a large climbing frame with multiple platforms. The keepers often hide food up on it so that the gorillas have to climb and get exercise, and sometimes they just hang out and chill on the platforms.
I wonder if you would laugh at them they would see that as a threat or smile back haha
They are surely different from Mountain Gorrilas the legendary "Titus" had a way of singing as he ate and due to the plants and trees never need to drink. I'm surprised his son Kiyo is still in the enclosure. His mating with his mom and sisters will definitely get him hurt. Nonetheless I love watching great apes behaviors.

love to see them interact with their surroundings, like playing with the bucket - but something tells me that the gorillas are very thirsty, trying to lick drops of water off of the ground or off of their hair with their hands. these gorillas need some type of moving water feature in their enclosure so they can drink if they want/need.
The vegetation gorillas consume provide them with most of the h2O they need.

This is definitely a very priceless videos to see!!!! They are human being alike 😮😮😮😮 but I have the feeling that they would be more happier to be in their natural environment! I know, there are a lot of parks in Uganda, where they are living in the natural territory, but scientists still can video and study them! Why should they lock them in this concrete prison????

I love gorillas, I'm old time 300 pound strong man I bend steel. Horse shoes nails wrenches pick up cars and I'm a weakling compared to these Beasley giants. What is so cool , Silverbacks are very caring of and the young ones. Unbelievable time spent training and separation of fights between siblings. They are very sensitive and don't allow bullying! Truly amazing characters ❤️

I've never seen father and daughter gorilla do chest beating together before. They are obviously in captivity unfortunately but does it seem like he is bonded more with his daughter than his son?

Apparently gorillas don’t practice incest. Occasionally, a half brother and sister have been found to pair up, but it seems as though gorillas are smarter than humans in that respect as well.
