I love playing an open hand monk - knocking enemies prone for my rogue and battlemaster allies to sneak attack ‘em is my favorite!
Yes!! It’s nice to have a way to setup your allies without having to rely on Stunning Strike too!
Things that I’d want to play (if I’m allowed to do a different setting) Cobalt Soul, since I really love the knowledge aspect of it; Way of the Shadow (for the same general reasons that I was to play a Gloomstalker Ranger); and then I liked both the Ascendant Dragon and the Way of Mercy, but I’d probably lean Mercy. But that’s only because I’m currently playing a dragonborn draconic sorcerer, who got her powers from a necklace stolen from a red dragon’s horde. So, I think I’d want different flavor for a new character.
Cobalt Soul can be a lot of fun. I love the concept of being able to read the energy of a creature to learn about them!

Monk subclasses really are designed quite comparably to each other. I’m very curious to see how they translate them with the upcoming update.
I was initially surprised by your list, so much so that I went back and re-read all of the subclasses. While I might disagree with your order its hard to disagree with your choices overall lol BUT I GOTTA SAY JOSH SAYING EEP MAN GOT ME DOING THE DOUBLE TAKE!
What order would you put them in?

We did originally have Ascendant Dragon number 1 and then we switched things around!
Way shadow way stronger than dragon monk, the dragon monk is one of the weakest monk subclass their is even it a cool them
