Thank you for posting this because this is very important information to know. Unfortunately I had business cards made and they came out wonky looking because back then I didn’t know about the bleed. 🙈 😂 however I’ll take your tips and redo my business card. My skill set is more advanced now so I think I can come up with a better and more professional design than what I had in the past.

👍uncheck - preserved illustrator editing capability @7:17 if not then pdf file size will increase, you can save ai file separately or send ai file along with pdf file to printing office rest of your settings are perfect

Yes, for A4 the same bleed zone. 3mm. And glad my tutorials are useful for you

But safe zone better is 5mm for A4. Means you create a document 216 x 303 mm ( it already with bleed zone) and a safe zone rectangle will be 200 x 287 mm

Amazing video - thanks so much for sharing! I had a question - as for the colour modes, I am creating holiday cards in Illustrator that need to be printed, and the holiday cards will have both graphics and a photograph on them. The cards will also be shared online as well afterwards. Just to confirm, the work space when I start should be in CMYK & exported as CMYK PDF for print? & Then (for sharing the designs online) I should create a new RGB document & bring the design over into that document, & convert the design and colours to RGB (and then from there, export as JPGs, PNGs, etc. as needed)? Would really appreciate your help with this! Thank you SO much Elena!!

Can I use 3mm bleed for US standard business cards?

If you will make US cards then U need to use that size 3.61″x 2.11″ (it's already with the bleed)
