I just got mines for a week ago for photography And I’m waiting on the speed booster to go with my 50mm what other lens would you recommend to give that same blurry background and a wider view then I’m getting from the 50mm
Thank you 😁 you'll love the speedbooster. Remember...only go above the native f stop if you really need the extra light. Keeping it at native or higher will give you sharp results but still let in more light & wider fov.
Great explanation on both booster and non adapters. I have both and it is worth it on the M50 for the two reasons you mentioned. The M50 is almost a good replacement to my 80D, especially for the price of $550 with the kit lens......amazing camera for the money. Love using the M50 with my 70-200 with the 1.4x II extender! Cost of both adapters on Amazon less than $200.
Thank you brother, I'm glad I can share my findings and that you find them useful. As always ..thanks for the comment. It might seem like a small thing but it's a massive boost for me 👌🏾
Like your vids. I bought a M50 3 month ago. I got the lense it come with / a 1.4 50mm / and a 28-135mm iam is EF-S lense / the small rig cage / a nice hot shoe light / mic / etc buncha stuff and the both of those vilitrox adapters. Lots of learning ahead 😃
Would you say VILTROX EF-EOS M2 0.71x Speed Booster is a good choice? Because I am on a tight budget and I have one EF mount cine lens. I am thinking of using a speedbooster to use the cine lens as both wide angle lens and standard lens. Therefore, I will have equalient to using two lenses for the same short film.
I use mine mainly for video and have no issues with it whatsoever. I think viltrox at the price point is a blessing and many pro's use them regardless of what you may hear.
what would you recommend the viltrox speed booster or just a regular canon adaptor for m50 ? and i have heard that when we use vitrox spped booster we loose image quality ??? is it true ?? thanks
Hi, if you use any extra glass like filters, speedboosters etc then there will always some loss of sharpness. You just have to ask yourself....is it worth it? Watch this video ruclips.net/video/Ikvbj0_HWE4/видео.html
Hi. There's only a handful of lenses that are sharp when shot wide open so unless you have one of them for example..sigma 18-35 art, it's always good to step down a little. A speedbooster can make pictures more soft if used on a wide open lens. If you step down just a little you'll still benefit from more light, wider fov and your video & pictures will look great. I'd only shoot wide open if it's very dark.
Very easy to update. Just connect speedbooster to pc via cable and it shows up as removable drive. Drop the downloaded firmware onto it. The only indication you get is the speedbooster will disconnect and reconnect in about 2 seconds.
@@EliseoWay Thank you 😁 yes a few sprung up since the main one went down. Some really nice people on the smaller groups too, they're quite patient with beginners which is what you need when learning.
You can modify some and they work well on most m series cams but for some reason the Eos m dosent like all mods. The 10-18 can be particularly troublesome and it's funny because I'm sure Zeek had a video on that too but on the group...I and many others had errors with that lens on eos-m
You answered all of the questions about this speed booster that the other five videos I watched didn't. Thank you!
Glad I could help bro 😁
You convinced me to get both the speedbooster and adapter. I just got my m50 a moth ago.
Ahhh excellent! Yes very good to have both. It's like turning one lens into 2. Enjoy the M50 bro...it's an awesome little camera.

Seriously the best video to explain the speedbooster. Mine comes tomorrow. Excited to use it with my EF lenses for my M50

This video explained everything I concern between those two. Thank you!
No problem, thanks for watching 👌🏾
Thank you for a real test and comparison. Informative and to the point!
No probs and thanks for watching
Thanks for breaking this down! I have the canon m50 and 22mm and want to get a 50mm so need to get an adapter or speedbooster
No probs, in all honesty you should get both as that will give you 2 different looks. Try with the normal adapter first as it's cheap.

Thank you very much! Explained clearly and very well. Great!!!
No probs, thanks 😁
That was a brilliant explanation. Thank you👍!
Awesome video and you are 100% true. I win a photography contest with canon m50. Against 1dx or high end nikon d6. You are amazing 👏 ❤
Awesome, thank you and congratulations on your win 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Why did you say not to shot wide open with the speedbooster?

@@Altcine thank you so Much for the explanation
thank you,you helped me...
🤔🤔 but you could cut the efs lens mount part then use the X3 zoom mode or mayber 2.5k 1:1 to combat the vinette.😂😊
ok never watched the last part but basically gives the same effect as the cine lens you showed. so my bad.
Yes for eos-m you are correct. But this test was for the M50 Facebook group.
The X3 crop is technically the same as the M50 4k crop video though.
Can you show how to upgrade firmware of VILTROX EF-EOS M2? And how to verify version on M50? Thanks!
Very easy to update. Just connect speedbooster to pc via cable and it shows up as removable drive. Drop the downloaded firmware onto it. The only indication you get is the speedbooster will disconnect and reconnect in about 2 seconds.
excelent video
Thank you 😁
Is STM and IS on Canon lens working fine?
Yep, no problems 👌🏾
Is there an M50 group somewhere?
There was a massive facbook group but it turned into a dump lately. The mods closed it down but I think it's back now.
@@Altcine Oh ok. Awesome. Should I just look for M50 group on Facebook? I just subbed to your channel. Good stuff

Nice

Speed booster need be used with full frame lens...!!
Yes that's right. You can modify some ef-s lens but I didn't like the results on apsc sensor.

No problem 😁
