It's always good too "niche down" so to speak as much as possible. Especially if you are looking to monetize your Instagram page / RUclips channel / TikTok account / and so on. In my case semi-motivational videos about life did best. What I would suggest is that you make a couple of videos in multiple directions (life, love, heartbreak, and so on) and see what works best for you. At some point you will always see the 80 / 20 rule when starting a new channel / page. 80% of views are going to come from 20% of the videos. Just keep in mind that with monetizing you don't always want to focus on the most reach. Some audiences are smaller but are more willing to spend money.
If you are interested in monetizing such a page, this is a comment I wrote to somebody else who asked how to monetize these channels:

After closing an Instagram page related to poetry and painting, I couldn't quite understand the reason for the failure. Today I know that there were several reasons. I tried to find the channel on Instagram, but sadly, I couldn't find the specific channel I talked about in the other comments. However it should still be in my algorithm, so when I come across it again I will let you know.
However, I did saved this channel "@the_breakup_journal" that is also selling a breakup journal. However this person is posting reels about the quotes/questions in that specific journal. But this can of course easily be translated to the style of content that all these other 'poetic/art' channels are posting.

You will have to manually pick the music when you upload a short from your phone to be completely safe with copyright!

I just recently switched over to the paid version of Fliki, and when it came down to changing the background color and shadow color, I didn't get that sliding bar to change the transparency. I get a color palette Are you using an older version of Fliki?

What about copyright to music or songs that I will choose?
So on Instagram and TikTok nobody is getting in trouble with using songs in the way I showed you in this video. However, if you are planning to post the same videos as RUclips shorts I would recommend you create them without a song in Fliki and then upload them with your phone. Then you can use RUclips's music library which enables you to use every copyrighted song without getting into copyright trouble. Did you use any other method to grow followers or just simply posted reels for 6 days straight without doing any growing technique 🤔 Because i posted these same videos from 15 days but didn't get views or followers
Instagram has a really sh*tty algorithm, even if you post 1 million of these videos doesnt mean you will get millions of views, most of those accounts (if they are real) were grew with bots, dont trust whatever you see here, these people are just trying to make a good income like everybody else, you just have to keep far from this fake videos.
Nope, I only used a few hashtags. However, I did an experiment a while ago where I posted the same 20 videos on YT shorts, TikTok and Instagram and back then I only got 1 view on Instagram. Which I found very strange. So the only thing I changed this time was that I made a new account with a completely new email address. The last time I just made another account on the same email address.

You will see it's the real deal. Sorry to hear it's not working out for you tho. However, don't discourage other people from trying.
Hey @AI-pocalypse, In one of your video's I heard you say to choose a niche and try to stick to it in order to having a better chance of standing out.
But do you think with a youtube shorts channel it would be wise to focus on viral video topics only? Which means the content could fall in any niche as long as it went viral. E.g one day you could upload a podcast highlight and the other day some travel destinations
Because each shorts gets payed the same per view the only thing that count's money wise is the flat amount of views (not talking about avd to satisfy the algorithm).
Or would I still be better to stick to one thing?

Good question. And the answer is very simple. You always want to stick to one niche! That is extremely important. This works the same for RUclips, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, literally every social media platform there is. And here is why;
Your followers or subscribers (whatever you want to call them) follow you because they like a specific kind of content. People follow me to know more about making money / creating content with AI. And almost every algorithm works the same. When you post a new video, RUclips will fist look at how your subscribers interact with that video. If your subscribers interact with the video in the right way (so if they watch a large portion of the video, like the video and maybe even share it with someone) then RUclips will start to show it to more and more people outside of you subscriber base.
However let’s say you make a video about a history fact. And this one goes viral. Then a lot of people will start to subscribe to your channel because they want to see more of that kind of content. If you next video is about cooking then your subscribers will probably not going to watch that video. This will indicate to the algorithm that you have made a “bad” video and it will (probably) never go viral.

A few videos ago I did a test where I posted 20 videos on RUclips shorts, TikTok and Instagram. And Instagram got only 1 view. That time I made an Instagram account on the same email as my personal. This time I did it with an entire new email adres I created specially for this account.
So I would always suggest you create a new account and you do this with an entire new email adres!

Well, sadly keywords and hashtags don't play a big role in if something is going viral or not... The most important things are (and these are the same for every platform. Although some platforms find some metrics more important than others): how long do people watch your videos, how many people like the videos, how many comments do you get, how many shares does a post have and how many times a post is saved. And you can influence this a little bit (for instance by asking a question that people can answer in the comments) but the most important thing is to simply make content that people enjoy watching.....
