I currently have a short that reached 2.1 million views and for me it's definitely quality over quantity. The short took a couple hours to edit, but paid off in the long run. Biggest thing for new people looking to make content is the view retention time. I noticed RUclips doesn't really push out videos with less than a 70% retention rate and also having that short as close to a minute as possible since RUclips wants people on their website as long as possible. If you make a video and probably won't watch it yourself, that's a good indicator others won't either. Goodluck everyone!

I was wondering if you added tags to all your shorts because you haven't mentioned in this video that you added tags to your shorts. I have also not added tags in my shorts, just 3 hashtags in the title, and m getting zero views every day.
I sort of also don’t understand how this shorts thing works … on my other channel , I uploaded 2 shorts and got 5k views in 1 hour. The next day I posted two shorts at the same time as before and low and behold, no views at all.
Same here, feels like RUclips trying to encourage you to make more videos. First 2 shorts always get massive attention, after that nex to nothing. Also, if you want to add music, add trending songs available in the RUclips mobile app library. This will give a boost to the videos. When you post a short with your phone and add a trending song available in the RUclips phone app library, you will not get a copyright strike.

Just a warning for people wanting to do this, I recently made a AI reddit channel and grew it to 5k subs and close to 12million views. The normal subway surfer type reddit videos. I got accepted into the Partner Program only to be kicked out 3 days in due to repetitive content. All of my videos were different runs and different stories but RUclips’s AI isn’t dumb and it knows “repetition”. It also looks for videos with AI voices so be careful investing a lot of time into this because now I have a unmonitizable channel and a lot of wasted time.

The thing that worked best for me was giving my videos a initial dose of views and likes on Famester Social. This caused them to spread everywhere literally, bringing more and more organic views day after day.

One piece of advice I can share about Shorts - you are literally just planting seeds. Unlike TikTok or FB or IG, Shorts work differently. Some of my biggest shorts only popped off an entire YEAR after they were posted. So however their algorithm works, it's different. What I do really love about YT shorts is that some get sustained views over long periods once they're in the algorithm. TikTok hits a ceiling and then its done, but RUclips's algorithm seems to keep slowly finding new audiences over a period. It's a long game with Shorts, I've realized. Even in the beginning I thought they were a waste of time - now I see a lot more potential. If they can adjust the RPMs a bit more, they will become extremely worth the time for most

That’s because they upload literal garbage. It doesn’t matter how many subscribers you have if your thumbnail and title isn’t engaging enough and it’s also very common for “quantity” channels to die out, if they upload the same type of low quality content for years it’s obviously bound to die. I’ve seen multiple long form RUclipsrs with 1m+ subscribers that aren’t getting viewers anymore because people grew tired off that content. Needless to say having people subscribed to your channel is helpful, just don’t upload garbage
@@Pirat46-o2n exactly, to make it simple , every video has to be better than the last one , it's OK to upload a few garbage videos with garbage thumbnails , but it's not ok to stay that way , big RUclipsrs always innovate and change their content in every niche, if you look at their old content most of them are garbage but the reason for them succeeding is that they improved them one after another , there was a guy complaining about how RUclips is a losing business because he uploaded 900 videos and had less than 10K views overall and around 300 subs , and to no surprise, when you watch his first and last video , both are garbage on the same level! bad thumbnails with the least effort and low engaging content that remained present throughout ALL of his videos small content creators need to understand that hard work is not dumb work , you gotta learn a new thing everyday , that's the true hard work , to do what most others don't
It can be hit and miss with shorts. If you publish 10 shorts in a row, half of them may get hardly any views, and the rest do well (relatively-speaking!).

(I am ok with that, I was thinking of setting a day where I can bulk post a shorts for a month.) [2] You need to have 1000 subscribers/4000 followers to be monetized. [1] well, I believe this also depends on your region. I have heard some people are only able to post 8 and some even only 4. I'm indeed able to post 16 shorts every 24 hours. However there are scheduling tools that allow you to surpass not the amount of shorts you can upload daily but the amount of shorts you can schedule daily. [2] If you have a RUclips channel that solely is based on RUclips shorts and you want to have that monetized you actually have to have 1000 subscribers and 10 million shorts views in 90 days. I'm not sure how this works if you already post this on a "normal" monetized channel. However be aware of the so called "repetitive content" rule. If you post a lot of repetitive content you could get demonetized. And if you overuse this (like i did with posting 300 shorts in 30 days) you are playing with fire!

Hello! When I want to use music in the same way you presented it in your film, a message appears stating that I can only use RUclips music for my own non-commercial use. My videos are not longer than 15 seconds. I don't know how to deal with this in order to use interesting music that is much more appealing to the audience and have the opportunity to earn money from it.
I use AIVA to make my music. It's an AI that composes music in the style that you want, and it has some editing capabilities as well, which I never use. In this manner, I can quickly generate music for my videos without ever dealing with: 1) repeating music other people have used. 2) copyright issues. 3) dealing with RUclips's crazy rules.

I used to post low effort shorts before and it used to get like 30-50 views. I wanted to focus on quality rather than quantity so i started putting more efforts on editing now i barely get 20 views idk whats wrong. I will keep on trying till i reach 30 shorts if nothing works I will quit.

Just started creating shorts. A mix of quantity and quality but they're still pretty basic as i'm a noob but currently have between 3-5 shorts scheduled daily. May increase or decrease depending on results. What's everyone else's analytics looking like?

I gained around 500 subs in a month and 200k+ views with Minecraft shorts content. It took me about 1 hr to record and edit each short. Daily one short for 30 days straight. Most popular got 150k+ views.

I use AIVA to make my music. It's an AI that composes music in the style that you want, and it has some editing capabilities as well, which I never use. In this manner, I can quickly generate music for my videos without ever dealing with: 1) repeating music other people have used. 2) copyright issues. 3) dealing with RUclips's crazy rules.

I used to post low effort shorts before and it used to get like 30-50 views. I wanted to focus on quality rather than quantity so i started putting more efforts on editing now i barely get 20 views idk whats wrong. I will keep on trying till i reach 30 shorts if nothing works I will quit.
