- I showed everyone what Lake Fork is like during a regular tournament yesterday in my video. If you haven't watch it check it out "Why I will never fish a tournament on Lake Fork Again." This video shows the good side of Lake Fork and how much fun we could have had if they would change the regulations and go after the BIG FISH.

MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn't have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey...it should be an honest and fun ride! - Развлечения
I knew the title of this video would get em all riled up. 🤣
I laughed when making it😂😂

🤣🤣🤣 Freekin hilarious!
Your footage of catching fish is amazing. You make it look easy even though I know sometimes it's not. You give up a lot of info that I'm not sure a lot of guys recognize. Keep it up man.
Just fish fork for fun and big bass tournaments only, dont fish the 5 fish tournaments there. The reason all those 3 to 8 pound fish are there is because of the slot. My pb was a 10lb 5 oz on fork and it was 23 7/8" long. Had to release her was in a tournament. I was sick and excited at same time lol. Love your content and keep catching them bigguns.
The lake is already too crowded and has too many tournaments. We don’t need to make it worse.
But there’s a huge population
I think it’s smart to address this to tpwd
What exactly needs to be reported?@@bymes4814
Those hooksets! Great footage to drive the point home of why you choose the gear you choose.... slamming the hook home on 6+ pounders on a lake full of timber and stumps... fishing for bigs
Awesome video 👍
I totally agree. Change the slot for tournaments. A lot of good lakes across the country have tournaments 3 fish 5 fish, and the lakes are still doing great.
That water gun, if you know you know! 🤫
Nope! Keep it as it is! Helps keep tournaments off the lake! A win for a big bass fishery! 👍🏻
Ive never seen a lake with a slot limit that it really does anything but have fish in that slot limit i fish a lake with a 20 inch limit guess what you catch more then anything 19 1/2 to 19 3/4 dale hollow has a slot on smallies guess what doesn't get weighted in smallmouth even the 2 day billy Westmoreland tournament that is smallmouth only tournament guess what gets weighted in a bunch of unders and maybe 1 over so show me where a slot limit is good a few years to get fish bigger i see it but years and years of slot limit management turns the size fish being in the slot limit
Didn't know if we would see spinning rod Todd on today's episode, but we did😅
What is the water gun for?
Feel your pain...
10-4....23 3/4".😢
Still a great fishery.
What's the water gun for?
What’s your favorite color or colors in the popping perch Todd? I’m looking to get some after watching your videos. Thank you!
Warmouth, bone, and white are top 3
Bottoms up
And the sneaky one is shad spawn
Thanks Todd!! Tight lines buddy. Love watching your videos. Thanks for turning me onto the rage bug! Been tearing them up on it!
Hey Todd whats up with the 🔫 ? Awesome fishing. 💪 Be Safe & Hydrate
It has a mix of dish soap. It makes the surface smooth and easier to see the bass.
@johnhodson3200 hahaha really now ? That's news to me for sure hahaha. Appreciate it.
Hey... Sight-god Todd. Can you link those Gill shorts so I can buy some and you can get a piece of da cheez?
I wish, they are old news. I’m getting some new ones and we’ll see how they are
Oh Lord! Wait until the ( BED HUGGERS) see this video
Why not just do length tournaments on fork? Take a pic and immediately release it. Makes way more sense than trying to fish for dinks. All the kayak tournaments use this and don’t seem to have a problem
That's why tournaments should all be catch, weigh and immediately release regardless of what lake. Put all the fish back healthy and where they belong.
So like regular tournaments where we put them back in the lake. Gotcha. I think we should be doing this as well. Most of these lakes you can’t even catch a fish it seems all of them are dead.
@@toddcastledinefishing5924😂
Todd loves Lake Fork, just not the tournament format.
👍
What bait are you using to catch them? Especially sight fishing?
Always a Rage Bug

@toddcastledinefishing5924 Todd this is Mike Quatrone. We met at the Red River Open. I have picked up on your technique with the swim jig and doing well. What color is that green pumpkin?
Plus your popping perch is it the white or that off white version? Finally when would you change from 3/8 to 1/4 on your white swim jig?
Not sure why Texas Team Trail even went there.
what's with the water gun
Water and dish soap clears out the pollen on the surface
Hold up! You do understand that those 3lbers would never turn into 6lbers and those 6lber would never turn into sharelunkers if there wasn't a slot limit. You're right those big ones are fun to catch but getting rid of the slot would be a big mistake. I know several guys who regularly fish tournaments on Fork and they don't have a problem with the slot. Learn to handle it or stay off of Fork!
I think the tournament fishermen are not keeping the fish. Therefore let them weigh in the best 5.
You do realize when we catch fish in tournaments we let them go. Just like the best lakes in the country, Rayburn, Toledo, St Claire, 1000 Islands, Guntersville, Clear Lake, Okechobee......I can go on and on, they all have tournaments and are fine. On your thinking how does it have fish in there if all the little ones are caught before they get big?????????
1) Learn a little about the purpose of slot lakes and how they're managed. You do not have a degree in fisheries management.
2) You're talking to a woman who has actually WON a tournament on Fork. @@toddcastledinefishing5924
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 Yes, I'm not stupid. I have fished a few tournaments in my lifetime.
However, the slot is for all anglers. Not just tournament fisherman. Sounds like maybe the tournament rules should be changed, not the fish regulations.
The better anglers know how to catch the biggest non slot fish and overs and make it work for them. Don't blame the lake because you can't fish it. People aren't as prone to keeping the under 16" fish as they would be those 3-6 lbers. It's all about conservation man! The Fork anglers have figured it out. I would hope someone of your caliber could too.
How come other slot lakes don’t grow them as big, how come Toledo had giants swimming all over it. So only people that have a degree can talk about this. I’m just curious how other lakes grow fish so big, why aren’t they all dead.
What the hell is that little green toy gun looking thing on the front of your boat???
Spray soapy water on the surface of the lake to clear the pollen to see better.
Totally disagree. Lake Fork would be decimated without the slot limit with as many people and tournaments that fish that place. That being said, you said it yourself, just go have fun, catch what you want, and don’t worry the tournaments there. 🤷♂️
Why are there so many Big Bass all over Texas with all the Tournaments going on?
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 - I’ve downloaded all the ShareLunker entries and looked at that specifically. There actually isn’t as many as you think. And the lakes that pump them out like Fork, most have alot limits as well. And maybe other than Sam Rayburn, not many other lakes have near the traffic that Fork does.
Let me get this straight - the guy who wants REGULATIONS changed at Fork can't even spell the word? We're listening to THIS GUY? 🤣🤣
wouldn’t this slot be the reason the fishery has big fish what’s the problem
let the bucket brigade hammer the sub 16s and everyone else can enjoy a sporting effort in catching the bigs we wanna catch
Todd, if you're actually being serious, you need your head examined! The reason you're catch good slot fish IS BECAUSE OF THE SLOT! Don't try and un-do all of the work that's been put in SINCE THE 1980'S! Instead, find somewhere where you can actually compete! 🤣
How does all the other lakes in the state that are really good have big ones in it?
@@toddcastledinefishing5924NONE of them compare to Fork. Are you serious? Do you really not know? You're trying to use your social media minions to screw up the (literal) #1 bass lake in the nation. It got that way by being managed. Day drinking and uninformed ideas will only ruin that. Try talking with a state biologist. Then, meet with Mark Stevenson for a while. If that doesn't fix you, nothing will. But before rattling off stupidity like comparing EVERY LAKE in the state to the #1 bass lake in the nation, get educated. First clue - opinion doesn't equal education. You are speaking from what is called the Dunning-Kruger effect. That's not an insult, that's a fact.
@@toddcastledinefishing5924A farm pond can have "big fish"... But without proper management it will never be anything close to Fork. Your argument is ill-informed.
@@toddcastledinefishing5924the quality of the fishing at those lakes is no where near what it is at Fork with the slot. Tournaments kill fish from confinement in livewells. Proven fact. The lake would be overrun with tournaments. Plenty of lakes for 5 fish tournaments in Texas. Leave Fork alone.
Wow I didn’t realize I hit a nerve with these Fork guys, this is aweosme
Boring. Catching slots off beds on Fork is boring. Move out deeper and catch the big ones on the beds you can't see.
Huh?????
So catch the ones that no one does, and struggle. You can have that, I fish for easy ones all the time.
Todd you paid your entry fees to fish that tournament and now you whine cause iwas embarrassing to you to follow the tournament rules, just dont fish Lake Fork, nobody cares
You cared you watched the video. I hope you don't go through life this serious, it's a video.
Nothing serious about it just truth
Just like the video, nothing serious just the truth. It was just a goofy video, did you hear us complain to the tournament dir or get all mad, we were laughing and joking during the event.
