    Carolina rig is a co-anglers best friend. 💡for the CO’s in the back that aren’t listening and don’t know what consistently carrying a body bag to the scales feels like.

    I’ve fished a Carolina Rig off and on for years and caught a few here and there, watched your videos and started paying attention to the smaller details, when they set up right on my local lakes I SMASH THEM on the ball and chain. Thank you Todd. I’m no novice been bass fishing for 40 years, but you just sometimes see something or mention doing something just not the ordinary. I appreciate it and have taken full advantage. Keep up the good grind Todd. Nice to see and hear something a little different.

    awesome C-rig overview and tips, Todd !! I KNOW I need to fish it more, but I never do. Back when I used it yrs ago, it ALWAYS produced! I think we get so caught up in new stuff/techniques that just push it off. Thanks for the reminder. Obviously pre and post spawn are ideal times, even though it works yr round. 17:13

    Just got back from Lake Chickamauga and we struggled. I told my partner that when we struggle, go back to the basics and throw your confidence baits. He finally caught a 5.25 lber. I DREAD having to throw a carolina rig, to the point I am stubborn, but I do realize it's important to humble yourself and get it back out on those sunny, clam water conditions.

      At my home lake, it ya don't use 29lb or 30lb braid of some kind to rip the 5+fish out of the oak trees or the cedar trees ya don't get paid, it's that simple. And seems on a horable day, that ya tie into a few 40in musky's and that's when your poles and reels start to fail.

    • @joewinkler2168
      @joewinkler2168 10 месяцев назад

      @Mjones8383 but I must credit the lv34 live scope that I installed last spring. The learning curve was very short once I had seen the muskies on the screen. They are unmistakable, that alown has saved me hundreds in spinner baits and flipping jigs and broken poles and totalled out reels. Lol 😆

    This past weekend the post front bluebird day kicked my A. I thought about what he told me. You need to throw that c rig on those days. That is when it shines. Do you agree with this? Do you ever tell yourself on those post front days when it is tough, time to break out the c rig? I noticed the blue sky and sun in your video like I was fishing in Yesterday..

    If you're tying all Palomar knots, why on earth would you tie on your hook FIRST?!?! This makes no sense! You should first tie your swivel to your leader line. Next, tie on your leader. By tying your hook on last, you don't have to carry your main line Palomar over a hook, nor do you have to worry about your hook dangling, snagging you, the carpet, your line, or anything else, that may dull your hook or fray your leader. It's MUCH easier that way. That's just common sense, man. Youngsters! 😂
