Just got to say great videos and content. You have been a great inspiration to me with your true to life goal. I watched my wife fight breast cancer for over a year and half only to loose that fight on 11/7/20. She made me promise her to keep on fishing and not to worry that my fishing family and friends will help me threw the sadness and tough times. Your videos have been a huge part of that. Thank you. Rick Gill.

I enjoyed the video. I understand the Dad thing. I had hopes to fish professionally when I was a young chap. My Dad ran a local gas station that was THE local hunting and fishing tackle place to go. I was an avid reader of Bassmasters and followed your dad as well. Dad talked about us getting a boat and fishing. Sadly he suddenly passed from a heart attack at the young age of 55. I was 13. My dreams were dashed against the rocks of fate. I’ll be 62 this July. I retired from the State Police 12 years ago but work Campus Safety at a small college. I’m hoping if the winds are fair that next year I can get a used bass boat and fish a few local tournaments. I want to get a special jersey made that say’s “Martin’s Texaco” even though it doesn’t exist anymore except in my memories. Good Luck with your chase Scott. Fair skies and Tight Lines buddy.

Lake Fork is unbelievable. That lake gets hammered 7 days a week. And still produces big bass and big tournament bags. Lake Fork is Texas Parks and Wildlife fair haired child. They keep up on fish population and keep it stocked with Florida strain.
I never fish there any longer because of the pressure. We have a couple lakes in Texas that just get hammered. It’s very sad if you fished these lakes in the 90’s. To see all the boats today. On a Wednesday.
I am so happy to see the catch and release tournaments. It should be a law.
--Excellent video. I have not watched in a long time. You are obviously accomplishing goals.
When you decide to hang it up, no pun intended, i expect a book on success and goal setting and how to accomplish goals. I have no doubt you will fish a classic.

Got some tips for anyone who fishes big swim baits, since Scott fished one for a little bit. When you get big bites they don’t hammer the lure if it’s a big fish that can happen but usually those hammer bites are smaller fish under 7 pounds the big fish bites feel like little ticks so when you feel those small ticks and that something ain’t right feeling swing that rod hard, you’ll catch more biggins on those bigger swimbaits like that. Especially when you work the swimbaits on the bottom those big fish will just suck it in since their mouth is so big. And those smaller fish hammer the lure typically to pin it since there mouths aren’t big enough depending on the swimbait. And that tick feeling is when there mouth closes on the line soon as you feel that swing. It feels very similar to a jig bite for some perspective. I’m assuming you know this already Scott but If you didn’t well then there ya go 😆 good luck Scott! 🤙🏼

Canterbury was on it with the 111lbs. Great videos I agree these are better than most anything on tv. Looking forward to seeing you with that blue trophy.

You weren’t lying when you said wait until I see the video. Those two misses on Day 2 probably have you fishing Sunday! That’s the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I’m excited to see the Day 3 video and be locked in next week at Neely Henry. Keep doing your thing, brother!
