Scott I have watched 1:26 minutes of this video and I can only tell you one thing man. GOOD LUCK!!!!! I had the pleasure of meeting you at a meet and greet in GA a few years ago. I lost my dad last year in October to cancer and I wish every day that I could fish with him 1 more day. You still have your dad and have been following in his footsteps. That in itself is a major blessing. I hope that you kick butt and reach the goals you have set.
As much as I have enjoyed Roland Martin over the years I have really enjoyed watching the son of the "Worlds Greatest Fisherman" seemingly through the lens of Roland. He must feel completely blessed by God and beaming with joy and admiration as he watches his legacy being passed on to not only his Son but his grandchildren as well. At the 39:05 mark in the top left of the screen Scott identifies his marshal for day two. Pat Renwick is the host for the pod cast Stray Casts. I have watched a few of his shows in the last couple of years and find his sense of humor is just like the way it was with Scott on day two. Although Scott never verbally called out who he was I guarantee he knew him or knew who he was and also knew the sense of humor he is know for. I saw on Kyle Welcher's video where Pat was his day one marshal. I bet it made for an entertaining day.

The most I've ever seen Pickwick Lock discharge CFM 595,425 on 2/24/2019 it was a 100 year flood I live about 40 miles from Pickwick in a small town of Clifton,Tn and I was there at Florence Alabama to watch the weight in on Sunday unfortunately I didn't get to meet you and try to get an autograph but keep up the determination and hard work it will pay off for you. Best of Luck.

It’s been tough out there I’m waiting for them to close the spillways that’s the best time to fish on our lake 🤝 I saw you Martin out yesterday great job big inspiration to my bass fishing
I have personally seen Pickwick dam when ALL the gates except about 4 were open and the water was still going over the closed gates . We were told those gates wouldn't open under that pressure. That was in late 70s or thereabouts when below dam flood levels were record high.
I have also been on Pickwick with 5 or 6 foot waves in a ski boat near the first bend up river and had to rescue a 16 foot alumna craft fishing boat whose motor wouldn't start. We couldn't even see the boat when rope went through the waves and we were going about 4 mph with maybe 1/4 throttle on a 100 hp outboard. There was a tornado reported a few miles away and waves developed in about 15 minutes or less.
Typically I skip the intros on fishing videos because I’ve seen them so many times but I can’t skip this intro. I watch it every time and it gives me chills. Such an awesome story and I hope it all happens for you Scott.

I've seen well over 300,000 cubic feet per second! Used the same googan flat banger and caught a 6.5lb largemouth yesterday on Pickwick!

Don’t know if it’s been answered but 2 years ago I think it was, we saw around 240,000 CFS I believe. That was the year we re set the record for water level. You couldn’t get under little bear creek bridge on hwy 72 if that gives you any reference
The big ol Columbia river gets like that, when it blows and they are drawing a lot of water, it can get very dangerous, tourneys get canceled or moved all the time there but the smallmouth fishing is amazing
My son was laughing at me yesterday. Every bass I landed i yelled biggun in my kayak. They were all 2 and 3 pounders but dang it was fun. He said "Scott Martin actually catches bigguns dad". It was a fun day. Great video Scott.

The weekend was kind of a bummer, drove down to Florence from Michigan to Marshall and was only able to go on Saturday. Drove by the launch on Wilson lake just up from the dam and seen your truck though. It was cold as heck on land, must of been freezing on the water.

Really liked the footages shot from the bank with the slow motion boat flips. Scott giving a class on when things start to spin out and go wrong that you have to handle it mentally to stay in the game. Meanwhile Matt over there texting Brian Thrift “Scott’s talking about me again”. Or he could be texting home telling them to “go ahead and make those dinner reservation because I’ll be home tomorrow night”. LoL!
