Fab defense is the real deal. What a great company.
Their stuff is as good as magpul if not better. Rock solid for sure!
I have the fab defense on my sks.. makes it modern combat ready! Only if you do the bolt mod, and detachable mags. And this stock chassis has the quick release already Inc. and it’s amazing.
Many people choose the SKS as their primary defensive rifle specifically because it is totally legal in the restrictive states of NY and California. If you swap out the fixed 10 rd mag with a detachable 30 rounder, you have now rendered the weapon illegal in those jurisdictions, hence defeating the entire purpose of owning the SKS to begin with.

On what position the recoil spring would give a stronger recoil dampening? Straight as possible?
Yeah, that would make sense. Angle it for less recoil.
