Classical Guitarist Tengyue Zhang was called “Little John Williams” by Dale Kavanagh and Thomas Kirchhoff and boarded the German newspaper when he was 8 years-old.
In 2010, Zhang won the First prize at the Sixth GFA International Guitar Competition Senior Division in America. In the same year later, he won the First prize at the Thirteenth INT. Guitar Youth Competition in Vienna. In 2011, he had hold a recital in Vienna and successful. In 2012, Tengyue Zhang had hold a recital in Opening Ceremony of the Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade, Serbia, and successful. In 2014, he performed in the NYPL Library for the Performing Arts' concert series. In 2015, he won the 3rd prize in the IV Parkening International Guitar Competition and the 1st prize in the IV Changsha International Guitar Competition. Tengyue will be touring seven cities in China in the summer of 2016.
Tengyue was born in China at June of 1993. He began to study Classical Guitar at the age of 5 and when he turns to 7, he began to study with Professor Chen Zhi. In 2005, Zhang was enrolled by The Music School Attached to The Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, becoming a student in grade one of junior section. In the fall of 2012, Tengyue Zhang began his Bachelor of Music degree studies at The Juilliard School under the guidance of Sharon Isbin. In 2016, Tengyue Zhang will continue pursue his Masters of Music degree with Professor Sharon."
