You know I always enjoy your shows when you and Brian Smith do the show together. You work well together, complimentary personalities, no apparent ego issues, with both bringing your expertise to your audience. But I think its important to also note that Brian, while being (I believe its fair to say) a fan of (and LockedOn host for) Florida State, is able to put all that aside and be an objective expert, generally treating FSU like anyone else. You (I) don't hear the tinge of excitement in his voice when talking about FSU, like, say... some LockedOn hosts for their LockedOn team. And there's nothing wrong with that. It gets the fan base fired up. In your case, Brandon, there have been a number of observations and suggestions that I HOPE the coaching staff is watching and aware of. Seriously. So kudos (whateverTF that means literally) to you and Brian for another informative and entertaining show.
Just one request from both of you. I think I have some idea how hard you guys work to get it right. Please don't overdo it and get burned out. Take some vacation time and get away from it. And if someone you haven't invited wants to sit down and bend your ear or otherwise share his or her ideas be straight-up with them, thank them for watching/listening to the shows and tell them you are there because you need a break and are not talking, reading, watching, or thinking sports, RUclips, or podcasts. the series against the Hurricanes -- had to be cancelled when the Southeastern Conference expanded and moved to an eight-game schedule. UF requires a minimum number of home games to fund its athletic budget.
Spurrier suggested getting UM back on the schedule.
Gator country updated the 2023 & 2024 recruiting classes for the returning state of Florida recruits and it puts the UF 2023 recruit class ranked #7 and the 2024 #8. Long game recruiting paying off for UF.

Seminole Brian has it wrong on Spurrier stopping the Miami game. Spurrier did not back down on tough schedules. That was a home game revenue issue.
The UF DEs were getting owned by the UK RB in 2023. Not just a LB problem. In 2025 the UF defensive front is better and deeper.
No problem. Elite Florida players sign with out of state colleges then return via the portal. UF alums contribute in 2024 = top 2025 talent
If Lagway shows out in 2024 it will draw in top recruits to UF. FSU has very fast tall WRs so don't underestimate them.

Misinformed Seminole Brian does not know that the home and home with the Canes ended in 1987 when Spurrier was at Duke. Spurrier started at UF in 1990 and said he still wanted to play UM.
Bowden turned down tough SEC schedule for ACC cupcakes. Makes playing UF and UM easier. Bowden SEC decision resulted in FSU not making recent playoffs due to FSU's #52 ranked strength of schedule. Big $ to leave ACC.
