I did my first Alpha overseer yesterday. Yay! I had to revert back to older saves and I am not ashamed for that as otherwise every atempt would have taken me a week to prepare for. I took me five tries and almost 12 hours. 1st one ended comicly bad. 2nd - 3rd just what even bad. 4th uuuuhhh.. nearly had a breakdown. pulled myself up and got back just a little over an hour later. And then the Actual boss lasted 3 min. I'm FREE!
I love a good building episode look forward to seeing this when comletely finished. Love your offsider on your shoulder how he watchers you do this making sure it's right lol :)
Just to be clear I am not complaining, but everytime I watch a building episode, it reminds me why I love my building mods so much. Hoping they take some tips for Ark 2 in the building department. I love this series though.
When phlinger asks if the episode is too long correct answer is always " not long enough " lol. Always looking forward yo the next episode of this series. I'm absolutely 💯 loving it and can't wait to see the next one. You should totally do an hour episode lol maybe 2 hour one 😅. We just can't get enough of ya 😊😊
I built an small forge camp on the shorter cliff and had a anky mining on the other top and transported the iron ore with and argy. I have several small bases around this map and haven’t yet decided where I want a big main base.
You know Phlinger, I have been playing Ark for nearly 3yrs Ive watched probably most of your solo stuff as I only play PVE but when it comes to building your n another level. I have learnt so much for you and Nobblets. Thank you, Happy new year Snapz ans my son Boyd
Nice, couple of places I like 54.7 81.5 Little Swamp Mountain base, some river rock,water, food, easily defendable for swamp area. Next is 14.3 15.8 this Frozen beach bum area has everything you want including dinos, oil, metal, access to ocean and a frozen waterfall plus a couple loot drops near by. Important this is a high traffic area for dinos including, Yuties, Carno's, Poop cows, Wolves, Pigs, Mammoth, Argies, Calithocareum ( might be misspelled lol). Frozen area is low amount of berries you can harvest, and you will need defense! Swamp area would be a challenge at low level, Frozen I suggest mid to high level. Enjoy!
You know, of all the quality of life improvements that I hope Ark 2 brings, this dumb thing of how difficult it is to get walls to snap where you want them and pillars to not leave a nub is one of the most annoyance-saving for me.
With all due respect and love to Phlinger, if you want some videos that truly specialize in tips on how to build structures in Ark, check out Aaron Longstaff. Super informative and detailed where you need details. Phlinger is my guru for taming. Phlinger and Nooblets for boss fight preps and other general gameplay strategies. And while Phlinger and Nooblets do have helpful videos for build tips, they don't really specialize in it. Aaron Longstaff is S Tier for that. And of course Phlinger is just the most entertaining and personable Ark streamer!
Phlinger is not a builder. He just goes with it. If you want to build some awesome bases get S+. Put yourself in creative mode and just go for it. I love building fortresses out of glass and stone. You can make some crazy builds.. You can even add Platforms + and build some crazy tree houses.. With S+ you can customize anything. You even have internal wiring and plumbing so you dont have to see wires and pipes.. And it fixes all the bad things about vanilla building.. No more bad snapping. It even adds all new snap points with a press of a button. Press "G'" to snap to corners and other keys flip the object and such. Everything snaps together like it should, even gates. Leaving everything nice and clean.. And it has better models than vanilla.. It looks nice.
@@IKnowHowItEnds For those of us playing on console, unfortunately those mods are not an option. Takes twice the effort for one-third the results. But still lots of fun to create what I can.
the older i get. the more i play games like this. less fs given on quality. more focus on the fun side. games are meant to be fun. if its not fun. many times its the gamers fault lol. not always... EA..... but many times.
