Guys the ballet dancers are really doing their best and don't forget; nothing or nobody is perfect. Don't forget, not everyone does ballet from the age of what, 6? They did a great job✨
Personally as a dancer, dance takes so much more than the flexiblity and the body. A driven person can become a master, it may take weeks, months, and even years, but in the end its worth it. You can see the progress which opens more doors towards opportunities that will further your learning as a dancer. Dance requires hours of training, ice packets, sweat, a drive, etc. Glad to see that the dance community is growing!
asianavocadoes I’m 13 and I take dance three times a week and I swear to you that that is the most annoying thing t see someone do. My teacher calls them chicken arms tee hee
Ikr, I'm a dancer specifically ballet I take ballet 6 days a week for 2 and a half hours. My teacher always flips out when an arm is floppy. So seeing that this teacher didn't care to correct them bothers me. If I taught this I would be correcting my dancers not the football players as much, they learn how to do something by watching my dancers so if I correct them they would apply the corrections.
This is amazing! I love seeing people that are in a “traditional” sport recognizing that ballet is a sport and not just that, it’s an extreme one. I was a ballet dancer for 16 years and I did 3 years on pointe. I broke toes on my left foot twice and I was always sore. I loved dance so much but it got to the point where body had enough.
If only the dancers showcased were more advanced. That would have really showed the difference. Most seemed equally as inexperienced as the FB players... Maybe just the nerves.
N/A N/A Well one of the dancer had only started six months ago so obviously they won't be very good yet. And though the pro vs amateur thing can be hilarious this shows those boys that ballet is something you can learn if you work hard. Being compared to pros would not do that.
Yeah I know but it would cool if they were better. I doubt any of those boys were there to realize their ballet dreams. And like you said ballet is something you can learn if you work hard. Meaning advanced dancers have worked hard and showed them that ballet is graceful and beautiful. Those were aspects not displayed from the beginning dancers. Plus the description also said some of those dancers have been dancing over 10 years. So don't pay too close attention to the 6 months aspect. Thanks for the response! :)
Ballet requires crazy body control. You have to constantly think of many different muscles for every move you make. Pointed toes, straight knee, firm spine, elongated neck, controlled elbows, lowered shoulders and so on. And those jumping exercises burn like hell.
This made me smile a lot, they actually did pretty good. And for everyone commenting on the dancers technique; you don't know how long they've been doing ballet. Also not every dancer dances for competitions, for high rankings etc. I personally dance just for the fun of it. I've been doing that for 11 years, and there's always something that's lacking, technique that could be better and don't even get me started on my flexibility (I'm not that much better than these footballers lmao)
Some of those football players really got great height and turns in their across floor jumps! Good job for hanging in there and having an end result of respect! This was awesome to watch!
I love how the teacher yelled “SPLITS” and the one dude in the corner just sits on the floor😂this video is so funny and just shows much of a sport dancing is👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm a ballet dancer, and I agree that ballet is very often seen as easy, but they are football players, not ballet dancers. I bet most ballet dancers wouldn't last in a football practice
The Book Lover But football won't benefit us at all. Ballet benefits other athletes. But I agree with you. As a dancer I know what you mean. It all depends on what you're used to
Personally I'm a ballet dancer and ex-netball player as well as an ex-Skater and trust me ballet is a much harder than football. Your constantly on medication for pain and injuries, working on flexibility, sometime it even get to the point where you have to wrap your muscles in plastic wrap just to stop injuries getting worse while your sleeping, you ruin your knees ankles and feet. Have you seen a pointe dancers feet trust me ballet is much harder than football
Maya Pena most of ballet dancers ..and I say most ..are not familiar with football practices..and he/she is trying to explain that if I'm used to something doesn't mean that one think is more difficult than other
And to think I was a motivated by Pittsburgh Receiver and 4 time Super Bowl winner Lynn Swann to pursue ballet to compliment my martial arts training back in 1980. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to see this happen at the high school level. The agreement by footballers that dance should be considered "a sport" is priceless, I say this as a life long dancer and now ice skater at 64 years of age. I loved ballet and incorporated a lot of the movements both in dance and roller skating and martial arts dance. The football coach should continue training his players with ballet at least one day per week.
I love this :) There is no reason to look down on any of your schools' competitive teams. They each put a lot of hard work, sweat, and (maybe) tears into their passion. 😍

I love how at 0:35 one of the boys just sat down instead of trying to do a split
Even thought this showed up on my recommended late... See, *BALLET IS NOT EASY! WE PUT A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT INTO THIS ART!*
omh there all so concentrated...I can't even...lmao
WE USE THE EXACT SAME MUSIC FOR OUR BATTEMENTS THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY
Hmmm but it also means that I can't watch without getting a pit of dread in my stomach...
Yeah I thought the same thing! My teacher also uses that song too~
This is the best video on the internet.
Michelle Tene ITS AN ART, GET IT RIGHT
omg there was a ballet girl that had her arms in second but her elbows were completely bent. ahhhh i’m so triggered
asianavocadoes I’m 13 and I take dance three times a week and I swear to you that that is the most annoying thing t see someone do. My teacher calls them chicken arms tee hee
My teacher HATES that! xD I wanted to just grab the girl's arms and stretch em out a bit. :P
@@anjahjelle9379 i agree
Ngl even some of the ballet dancers didn’t look that great. A lot better than the footballers but still.
Well some of the levels between the dancers were 6 months to 10 years of experience
I was thinking the same thing. The two girls on the right were not turned out and looked as if they didn’t know what to do with their arms
Emily Foot their beginners, not pros so I think it’s fine
The look on the football players faces when the teacher said split😂
the male dancer was the best in the class
Caitlin H uhhh no
yeetus that fetus uh yes. that class was very bad
The guy AND the girl pink leotard were the best in the class
This is amazing! I love seeing people that are in a “traditional” sport recognizing that ballet is a sport and not just that, it’s an extreme one. I was a ballet dancer for 16 years and I did 3 years on pointe. I broke toes on my left foot twice and I was always sore. I loved dance so much but it got to the point where body had enough.
If only the dancers showcased were more advanced. That would have really showed the difference. Most seemed equally as inexperienced as the FB players... Maybe just the nerves.
Plopping into splits during ballet also seems informal.. Possibly just to mess with the poor guys XD.
N/A N/A they look like they're in middle school/Junior high so idk
Yeah but they are high schoolers not professional ballerinas
1:58, the second to last kid on the right is literally me when people tell me to try dancing😂😂
I'm that guy in the very front. The only guy who was able to do the splits
frednel creer I think he's a ballet dancer not a football player
frednel creer Same I'm a male dancer and I have all my splits
I wish I have all my splits. Middle is a bit a hard, both front splits for me are like an inch or two away from the floor (crotch to floor)
frednel creer yah it's really hard to get your splits and it takes a long time. I recently got my middle
serendipity well yeah it's obvious. I didn't claim that he wasn't.
Very fun to watch the guys come out of their elment to try something new. Great job
Ballet requires crazy body control. You have to constantly think of many different muscles for every move you make. Pointed toes, straight knee, firm spine, elongated neck, controlled elbows, lowered shoulders and so on. And those jumping exercises burn like hell.
발레하는 남자 너무 예쁘다ㅠ
Boy in the front doing ballet: *does a split*
Boys in the back: Am I a joke to you?
This made me smile a lot, they actually did pretty good. And for everyone commenting on the dancers technique; you don't know how long they've been doing ballet. Also not every dancer dances for competitions, for high rankings etc. I personally dance just for the fun of it. I've been doing that for 11 years, and there's always something that's lacking, technique that could be better and don't even get me started on my flexibility (I'm not that much better than these footballers lmao)
Some of those football players really got great height and turns in their across floor jumps! Good job for hanging in there and having an end result of respect! This was awesome to watch!
I'm enjoying this way too much 😂
read all the comments and it's icing on the cake to this video
They did try i mean one the boys cheeks were red. But the slits and leaps were pretty terrifying. But other than that good kid boys.👏👍
Has anyone here done 10+ years of ballet, so I know I'm not alone?
Madison Gorthy MEE!!! This past year was 12th and now I'll be going on to my 13th this august☺️
Madison Gorthy No.. but I've done 10+ years of a variety of dance
YAS
I’ve done 8
I most definitely watched this 3 years ago and had forgotten about it. I’d like to thank the RUclips algorithm for bringing it back around.
It just amazes me how many people they squeezed into that studio...
I love how the teacher yelled “SPLITS” and the one dude in the corner just sits on the floor😂this video is so funny and just shows much of a sport dancing is👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
annieZzz you mean how much of an art it is
Judith Bellantoni yes but it’s also a sport
0:38
teacher: SPLITS
some guy: YEAH BRING IT
It was all looking somewhat ok until that split😂
This gives me a good life , I do Track & Field and Swimming but I’m also a Jazz Dancer and never have I realized how different those 2 aspects are.
This NEEDS to happen EVERYWHERE!!!!!
The Book Lover I a girl play foktball and am a dancer
i did ballet for seven years and when i entered high school played football so ?
Maya Pena most of ballet dancers ..and I say most ..are not familiar with football practices..and he/she is trying to explain that if I'm used to something doesn't mean that one think is more difficult than other
i’m a dancer and dance is harder than it looks! it’s way more that just pretty leaps and turns!!
2:34 wii sports after you bowl a strike
As a 14-year-old male ballet dancer, I can say truly from the deepest part of my heart.. this is the saddest thing my eyes have ever come upon
Try ballet they said, it's easy they said
Omg this looks like so much fun!!!!! We need to do it to the high school nearby!!
앓는 소리는 만국 공통이구나
I love this :) There is no reason to look down on any of your schools' competitive teams. They each put a lot of hard work, sweat, and (maybe) tears into their passion. 😍
I really like the guy who stand just behind the male ballet teacher. He is taking this seriously and even his first position is good
