There's very few people who can truly make spectacle into an artform, and that's what you do through your filmmaking. Most people just use transitions without a reason, but you own it and do it perfectly my boi.
I'm sorry if I don't see it, but the transitions all seem kind of meaningless, there really is no story, just decent unsaturated, over-contrasted shots with 'swish' & 'swoosh' sounds connecting them... I guess it's his style, but oh well.

Garza i thought this too but I decided to find some meaning.. listen closer to the other sounds that merge with the 'swoosh' sounds and look closer at what is swishing - how each colour blend and why each image is before or after another. Or just let it be MEANingless to you - no hate just discussing
its definitely flashy, pushing my editing skills, but i tried to focus on sounds and ambience to help build a story. i dont want you to feel a certain way, if you dont take anything of meaning from the video than thats fine but i made this in the hopes of showing the different diverse faces that make up this city, showing even a few seconds of their lives/stories through visuals. then the overall video follows a singular person/face that reoccurs throughout the video, the dude who is running at the end. I wanted the video to feel like you were looking at Toronto through his eyes, a creative. Im working on making videos with more meaning and story, but I also love challenging myself with visuals and editing. Gio is a mastermind for storytelling and much better one than me, but I am slowly taking steps to get better at it. cheers, thanks for the constructive criticism!

It really depends on you some people can set it up by just putting clips for or putting the sound in first then adding clips too it. It all depends on what you are comfortable with. I apply clips first with no sound at all then I start tying it together. That's just me
