I think Jan Karel Pieterse probably created the first example of using a worksheet to collect user input. jkp-ads.com/Articles/Excel-office-script-examples.asp#Prompting_for_user_input I've just taken it to the next step by using Shapes and Ranges, plus I've used buttons to control them. In terms of the code and methods, I've created all of that myself.

With introduction of checkboxes, I suspect worksheet based will be the future.
