    NIKE did this years ago. I used to have a pair, in fact I might still have them. This is not « innovative » - it was a trend that came and went quite quickly because the idea never stuck, unfortunately. Love Sara Blakely and her entrepreneurial mind and prowess, and I get what problem she is trying to solve (good design and a good product is when a problem is solved for the consumer), but these are just history repeating itself under a different brand. SPANX - although I have never used or needed - is a lasting universal concept that will continue to thrive through the ages as it is such a universally essential and practical product… almost as universally used by consumers as socks and undies. This new shoe brand is too niche and quirky to last long.

    This isn't innovative. Sneaker heels were popular about 20 years ago.

    Wow. I dare say those are quite hideous - on a number of levels.

    These are horrendous! How is it possible that it took 10 years to put a heel in a sneaker? Even the heel part is ugly. For $500 dollars. We left 2004 in the past

      @anastasiabeaverhausen. 22 дня назад +1

      Right?! They are not cute or practical..and they expensive. All that time and money for something only the 1% can wear?

      They are ugly. I'm sure some celebrities would wear them once. Or be used in an editorial in a magazine, but can't see them becoming a thing for the general public.

    PLEASE don't let it be 10 years before they become available in South Africa!!! With a lower heels too. Well done😊

    I love Sara, and think that these are very fashion-forward, but I am not sure how or when I would wear them since they cut off the leg too much for skirts or shorter pants, and are too casual and colorful for more formal work settings. They would look great with long flare jeans, though. Thank you for adding arch support! If they were about $100 lower in price, I think the price point would be about right for this trendy, fun look. Consider making some other styles that are a little more formal and cut lower on the foot for skirts/shorter jeans and pants. Please make the Icon in solid black (no white at the sole). Very cool, Sara!! I think you just invented an entirely new fashion innovation!

    She's adorable and love Spanx but this concept has been around for decades and loads of designers have adopted it. If I'm a woman who wants a bit of a heel and wants comfort, I'm going to want something more business appropriate and if I want sneakers then I'll wear those with jeans or stretch pants or some kind of weekend wear. Maybe she'll get lucky and people will love these - who knows in this day and age but not my cup of tea.

    High heels are uncomfortable because it throws your body out of alignment. These are very niche. Too casual looking.

    Do news anchors not do research before bringing people on? This is the most Christopher Columbus mess I have ever seen. This is NOT a new invention. Hip hop and R&B artist had these shoes all in the late 90s early 2000s. And the price was WAY cheaper. They had the heels with the thin heel, wide heel, and wedge heel. There was the open toe, round toe, and pointed toe in the sneaker heel shoe.

      @ginnylee9928 17 дней назад +2

      In the late 1970's I had 2 pairs of high heeled wedge sneakers.
      They laced-up, were open-toe with a sling-back heel.

    I am so confused by this shoe. I really like the design but when I wear heels...sneakers wouldnt be appropriate. When I wear sneakers...I dont need to wear a heel. So even when these were popular in the past with the wedge heel. Why? If she could make the same shoe but not a sneaker I'm in even at that price point but ....the practicality of where to wear these is confusing.

    I’m happy for her on her new venture. But what about the everyday working women? I was interested before I heard the price, it’s too steep. The thing about it is, I’m someone that will pay for my feet. But that’s too high, especially in this economy.
