Brutally honest review Steve. I would have done the same. I would have thought Chinese brands would have learned by now but obviously not. Cheers buddy 😊
I think of it this way. The manufacturers know that ALL of us DONT know. There will always be new people to the platform of AliExpress and they don’t know the ins and outs of what they’re looking at. Good thing is most of us that have been around these for a while know what is and what isn’t. This is a “good-looking” watch other than it’s obvious shenanigans.
they homaged SM right there! 🤣 initially from the logo and the title I thought you had a massive problem with a SM. On the lume test, the left one is the Addies and which one is the SM homage?
@@EscapeWheel ah it happens 😅It's hard to tell from just a video, but the metal finishing reminds me more of an alloy-coated Casio than polished 300 series steel. Is it heavy? Does it feel dense or light and tinny?
I'm not sure that they deliberately lie about the specs; I suspect they're just using the same ad as a template they've used for a different watch and substituted the watch without updating the new specs and dimensions. There are however some sellers that do intentionally mislead or outright lie about what they're selling, though their feedback generally reflects that. Good review mate 👍
Super shallow rehaut probably means a thin crystal. I wouldn't trust that watch at even 75 meters of pressure, let alone 300. Also, the all polished milky case makes me think it migh not be steel. Have you tried scratching it to see if chrome plating comes off to reveal brass or pot metal underneath?
The only really good automatics I’ve handled from the sub $100 bottom end of the market came from Steeldive and Addiesdive. Everything else was crap, although sometimes decent looking crap. Your review confirms my experiences.
The Miyota has a shorter pinion stack. But in general I agree. The sugess sub has a really nice rehaut and NH35, so it's kind of ruined me for all other watches that can't match it.
Great review I actually still like the way to watch looks aesthetically I disagree a little bit with your comments on the bezel in the case finishing but overall they really need to sell you what they advertise. However just a heads up the Loom shop portion you have everything labeled wrong on the comparisons
Steve, Didun appears to be the Tesla Cyber truck of Chinese watches. You do get everything offered…but just have to wait for the upgrades down the track!😂 But they’re coming!🤪😂🤭
As a side note : what is a see-through caseback supposed to do ? Of course, look at the movement. Not to check what it is, but to enjoy the craftmanship, beauty, or whatever you call it. SO, what the heck is this trend to put a see through caseback on every watch that have ugly movements such as Miyotas 8 series, Seiko movements (all of them), or typical cheap chinese movements ? Why ? To confirm you're buying rubbish ? I wonder DAILY what the watch designers/developers have in mind, and if they actually realize what they are doing. (sorry for the moaning).
I get it, and I agree. At least give us a custom rotor. But I do have some friends that just like to be able to look at the movement no matter how ugly it is...lol.

Now San Martin has a perspective from both ends. They have been the “homager” and now they are the ones being homaged😂
That's called doing business in China
Rolex yatchs Master not san Martin 😌🤦🏻
You know they’re clowns right off the bat when they name their brand after the Law and Order sound effect
hahaha....that almost had me spit out my coffee. thanks for the laugh....DIDUN
I can't say I'm surprised mate. I checked out their Royal Oak homages a few years. Let's just say it Didun't go well 😉

As in Reddit, angry upvote... Excellent James!
@@stavros_katsopr Cheers mate
You gave them a much more fair review than I would have. Thanks for the review and the warning.
@@adk7962 lol, the watch itself would have been fine without the lies and deceit, but a little overpriced for sure compared to the competition
A San Martin homage, who knew. Great honesty mate 👍👍

I'm genuinely impressed with how close MAMACOO were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.
There’s no way that there’s now a brand that’s “hommaging” San Martin watches…😂😂😂
WAIT WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS A SAN MARTIN😅😅 that logo is crazy

How is it that they can get the rehaut so small, dial closer to the crystal, and someone like San Martin struggles with thier Rolex diver homages?

I got the Caseno dingymaster. Not super great, but it yielded some good things if you like diy refinements. And under $60.
I eyed that one as well, I prefer the smaller case here...IIRC the Casino is 42mm

amzwatch has set a new standard for replica watches. Their craftsmanship is impeccable. Its hard to tell the difference from the originals
I like the red seconds hand. I'd be pissed if thats what i was expecting and didn't get
The low rehaut makes me want to buy a black / black one
So a mineral crystal is more clear than a sapphire crystal? 🧐
I don't know about clearity, but it is MUCH less reflective than sapphire.

On thickness, any chance they are omitting the crystal?
I measured (as best I could) and the actual case, sans crystal, is still 11.5mm
San Martin should sue 😂😂😂
It's as if Pagani Design and San Martin had a baby.
Awsome review
Well done Steve. Too bad you had to take the hit on this false watch description. Thanks for letting your subscribers know about this.
Looks good from far, but far from good
Looks like they copy pasted the specs and didn’t change them!
It looks like they also homaged Pagani Design - with the engraving on the clasp.
