:) kyukushin guys are tough . They train their bodies to take punishment.
In respect to TKD guy putting on a white belt 😊
I remember one time I put a white belt in stead of my black and let one of my senior student lead the class. This was a beginner class and some students did not know me. After the class, one student came up to me and says: how come you’re a white belt? Your kicks a great. I said: I’m a permanent white belt (that’s to say - there’s always more to learn - though I didn’t explain that part of my answer). The kid replied with obvious admiration and aspiration: I want to be a permanent white belt too 😊

The problem with these challenges is that they fight with limiting rules, that's why K1 was fun all striking styles could use their best techniques under K1 rules.

Yknow, theres one thing about kyokushin that always bothers me. Its a style that dominates in the pocket right? So why is it that they almost never seem to understand how to "cross the void" as mighty mouse says? They overreach on so many strikes. If this guy just learned a thai hop or gazelle hook he wouldve steamrolled the tkd guy

Honestly, i train kyokushin, but i don't think that even if kyokushin wins here is enough evidence to say that kyokushin is better than taekwondo (i think tkd won anyways), beacuse every match of "kyokushin vs any other style" is always under kyokushin rules, no face punching, ect, and that would be like saying that boxing is better than muay thai just beacuse boxers beat thai fighters in boxing matches, it's totally unfair. I heard some people in my dojo saying that some other styles like taekwondo would have a hard time trying to hurt kyokushin with strikes, but i always wondered, what would happen if there were face punches allowed in the fight? That would be a lot of a better comparassion beacuse many things change when you are trying to aim for the head

Original kyokushin has face punching that's why original kyokushin knocked out muay thai in the 60 by punching muay thai in the face, a lot of kyokushin train and spar in boxing now. You don't train in kyokushin otherwise you will know these.

I hate how people think Kyokushin is the ultimate Karate. Yes, GSP and Bas Rutten were excellent fighters in MMA, but so was Lyoto Machida who came from Shotokan which is generally hated on.
TKD whether it's WTF or ITF is not bad at all. The Olympics watered it down, but you're still learning proper TKD in the Dojang anyway.

@@bo-MMA for your information, yes, i already know everything you say and i do train kyokushin, have competed and had belt tests, my sensei talked us a lot about shiai (sports no face punching ruleset) not being realistic and that realistic fighting is hidden in kata, and that it obviously has face punches, but anyways like 85% of what we do is still being shiai and i barely ever do something different than that, and it creates a very bad habit with the no face punching thing, and i know that in the 60s kyokushin beat muay thai with face punching, but most of the times i see kyokushin vs any other style i'ts under kyokushin rules, not a fair comparassion, i don't know if you comprehended what i wrote but that was my point, kyokushin vs any other style under kyokushin rules isn't enough evidence to say that kyokushin is better, simply beacuse it's not a fair match.
