Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new around the house happenings style video! I had to get some stuff done! I cleaned my closet, not a closet declutter that will come eventually but I just needed to put my clean stuff away! haha after months of just letting it pile on the floor I finally just took the time to hang it up! I of course did some laundry, made some grandmas brownies!! haha thye were great and totally reminded me of some brownies that a grandma would share! full of butter and sugar, the best! lol Oh yes and I got some rugs for all around the house! the hallway, outdoor sliders, the kitchen, living room, and front door! I got them from wayfair! We also ran to a birthdya party that day and it was just a generally low key day! Hope you're having a great summer!!

I have a problem where I get so overwhelmed by everything I need to do in my home/life, I completely shut down. Even bathing has been known to get caught in my brain's trap. But somehow, just a couple of minutes of one of your around-the-house videos is inspiring enough to make me get up, pick a spot, and just start "doing". For that, I'm forever grateful.
I was watching one of Frugal Fit Moms videos yesterday and she was using a whisk and inserted footage of you saying “yesss???” and it totally made my day. 🤣 Everyone loves you! I think the large rug in the living room looks great Kim! I believe rule of thumb is to put the rug about 5 inches or so under the couches to use the rug for “grounding” your furniture! 😊

i love the new rug in the livingroom, looks much better, i would suggest to move the sofas inner legs on top of it, it would really pull the whole area together.
Exactly what I was going to suggest! Pulling the front legs of the sofas onto the area rug will ground the space.

Kim your closet is in much better shape than mine. I don’t even have a closet, my closet are hanging on a Walmart metal rack upstairs in my landing area. My husband has the same thing going but his uniforms take most of that rack plus we have two dresses for everyday folded clothes and such. That’s what happens when you buy a 100 year old house with no closets, yay what were we thinking 🤦♀️🤷♀️

Rhubarb cake with cream cheese frosting
▢ 1½ cups (300 g) brown sugar, packed
▢ ⅔ cup (145 g) vegetable oil
▢ 2 large eggs, room temperature
▢ 1 cup (245 g) buttermilk
▢ 1 teaspoon kosher salt
▢ 1 teaspoon baking soda
▢ 1 teaspoon vanilla
▢ 2½ cups (312.5 g) all-purpose flour
▢ 3 cups rhubarb, diced
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
To a large mixing bowl, add brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, buttermilk, salt, baking soda, and vanilla. Whisk to combine.
Stir in the flour.
Fold in diced rhubarb and pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the sugar over the top of the batter.
Bake 45-50 minutes.
Top with your favorite cream cheese frosting when cooled😊
