L took care of my husband for 20 years and when he passed in 2008 we had been married for 46 years many people asked me why I did it and my answer was the same as his I took a vow in sickness and in health til do us part. He was a childhood diabetic and in his last years had Lewy body dementia!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!!!!
