nice1, kept me busy for a few hours best season by far unlucky for andy tho ,what a driver .legend !!! i was at brands for round 7 & 8 but was sadly only 10yrs of age must have had a big impact as i drive a 3dr cossie now!!! an awsome era!! long live the cossie ;0)
This was a nice summary of the final round of that year's BTCC and of the Sierra's. I recall catching literally the very end of the original highlights on Grandstand aged 8. Not sure if Murray Walker did the commentary, which may have been why extended highlights weren't on the VHS Review where this is from. On the original highlights, Ian Flux ran 3rd in the 2 Litre Class for most of the race I think, before his tyre blew in a cloud of smoke. He still made it to the line and was interviewed after.
Gravett ever the optimist..he never won again in the btcc....he should have run the 3dr like Andy middlehurst did instead of the sapphire...he wouldn't have had the turbo engine...but he would have had the downforce....

Yeah, disappointing that this and Snetterton round missing extensive coverage, (Snetterton seeing Tim Harvey's best performance of the season)
