I thought it was a little weird that they fought each other already. I think both of them are future contenders and will probably rematch in a couple years if I were to guess.

Cruz has a point though, it feels like Adrian never really checked a single one of those kicks, like he wasn't prepared for the kicks.
Always interesting in seeing guys eat leg kicks and still win without it being much of a factor depite the commentators constantly mentioning them. And then in rare occasions you've got kicks that end fights or play a big role in a win

Some people just have different pain tolerances and also have conditioned legs. Max is both of those.

Eating kicks to the thigh is generally a question of pain tolerance, while calf kicks can completely immobilize someone

I love Dom, but with him talking about checking kicks as if it’s the easiest thing in the world and the most basic of basic skills in mma, it would be funny if they matched him up with Martinez next since they’ll be close in rank whether he wins or loses to Aldo

Checking kicks is not really that hard though.

@@vicentegeonix You don't understand. When a professional kickboxer gets hit with leg kicks, it's not because they didn't train it. It's because the opponent is just better at leg kicks than the other fighter is at defending them. It's the same thing with takedowns, fighters get taken down all the time even if they've been wrestling their whole lives. Their opponent just has better wrestling.
You probably check leg kicks during sparring or during training all the time. Great. Now stepping into the cage and checking a kick from Pereira or Martinez is totally different.
I've never winced so much watching a fight. Ouch.

Lol in the Spanish alphabet there are different annunciations of particular letters, N being one of them. Yanez doesnt have the Ñ in the graphic but thats how his name is actually spelled, the production team just didnt get around to fixing it yet.
